## **MINUTES OF THE INGHAM VILLAGE HALL ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING** 

## **Held on Wednesday 15[th] March 2023 at 7.30pm** 

## **PRESENT:** 

Faith Hubbard, Vera Moore, Anne Powles, Irene English, Jan Grace, Diane Pestell, Fred Piggin, Carol White and Phil Dewing.

## **MINUTES:** 

The Minutes of the AGM held on 14[th ] March 2023 were agreed and signed. 

## **CHAIRMAN’S REPORT** 

The Chair thanked everyone for attending.  She also thanked the Committee who have worked tirelessly as Trustees of the Village Hall, giving their time and energy to keep the hall running, together with all our wonderful helpers and David for all his help with the maintenance works. 

Fundraising this year had been really good. 

The building works for the new storage room have started and were progressing nicely. 

John Rosbottom and Pearl Chadwick had both decided to retire from the Committee in February and there had been a small gathering for them with the Committee members to present them with gifts and thank them for all their hard work over the years. 

## **TREASURER’S REPORT** 

Faith presented copies of Income and Expenditure for the past year. Anne proposed these and Diane seconded. 

We had very good donations throughout the year. 

A Wedding took place at the Village Hall and the married couple were so pleased with the hall and grounds and the help from Darren that they donated back to us their deposit monies. 

Mary Bennett donated money 

Darren hired out tables and chairs. 

Book sales on line had gone very well.

John Rosbottom and Pearl Chadwick have both retired.

Diane said “well done” to all and very good fundraising. 

- **NB** In the meeting it was asked if anyone had replied regarding emails that had been sent regarding Representatives attending.  Jan did not have this information but has confirmed that David Mole confirmed that at present he has lots of other commitments and was unable to take on any other commitments. 

Pam Hallesy is also very busy and confirmed she was unable to attend the meeting. 

Fred Piggin – attended the meeting. He said he would like to attend our meetings and will help in any way he can and may like to join the Committee.
