FLEGGBURGH VILLAGE HALL AND PLAYING FIELD REPORT OFTHE TRUSTEES FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31 DECEMBER 2024 Objectives and Activities The primary objective of the charity, under the terms of conveyance dated 11 October 1947. is to be the focal point for all local community attivities within the villages of Fleggburgh. Public Benefit The trustees have had due regard to guidance published by the Charity Commission on public benefit and consider the charity provides a public benefit due to the support and assistance it provides to the local communitv. Achievements, Performance and Financial Review The gross income for the year was £28,850 {2023: £21,150) and expenses amounted to £24,726 12023.. £22.8471. As of 31 December 2024. the charity had cash resep4es of £60,348 {2023: £56,224). These reserves are held for future distribution to the beneficiaries of the charity in accordance with the objettives and activities above. Strurture, Governance and Management Governing Document Fleggburgh Village Hall and Playing Field was established in 1947 and is registered with the Charity Commission under Enclosure Act 41 GEO. 3 Rep. Vol. 26 P267 (Registrdtion Number 3039511. Recruitment and Appointment of Trustees Trustees meet every six weeks. The Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary and Treasurer and the Committee oversee the activities of the Charity. Officers are appointed at the Annual General Meeting and hold office until the following AGM. Risk Monagement The trustees acknowledge the Charity Commission recommendation that they undertake an assessment of the risks faced by the charity and this is on-going. INDEPENDENT EXAMINERS REPORT TO THE TRUSTEES OF FLEGGBURGH VILLAGE HALL AND PLAYING FIELD We report to the charity's trustees on ourexamination of the accounts of the charityforthe year ended 31 December 2024 which are set out on pages 4 to 6. Respective responsibilities of trustees and examiner As the charity's trustees you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 20111"the Act"). We report in respect of ourexamination of the charity's accounts carried out under sections 145 ofthe 2011 Act and in carrying out our examination we have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 14515)Ibl of the Act. Independent examiner's Statement We have completed our examination. We confirm that no material matters have come to our attention in connection with the examination giving us cause to believe that in any material respect.. accounting records were not kept in respect of the charity as required by section 130 of the Act: or the accounts do not accord with those records. We have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection the examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached. OTHER ASSETS The trustees of a charity are 'the persons having the general control and management of the administration of a charity., In the case of this charity that is the Management Committee. as provided for in the charity's governing document, the Conveyance dated 11 October 1947. The Parish Council is the custodian trustee lor holding trusteel, in that the charity's property is vested in the Council and it should hold all the securities and documents of title relating to the charity's property. The custodian trustee has no power in the administration and management of the charity and must act at the direction of the managing trustees unless it considers that to do so would be a breach of trust. FLEGGBURGH VILLAGE HALL AND PLAYING FIELD NOTES TO THE FINANCIAL STATEMENTS- 31 DECEMBER 2024 ACCOUNTANCY POUCY l. Basis of accounting The accounts have been prepared on a receipts and payments basis. 2. Funds The charity has no restricted funds. 3. Receipts During the year, the charity refunded rent deposits totalling £830 and these have been netted off against rent received. 4. Transactions with trustees and related parties The trustees were not entitled to or received any remuneration or expenses during the year. During the year trustees were reimbursed for costs incurred on behalf of the charity totalling £28412023.. £6551. 5. Other pertinent information The Big Lottery Ipreviously The Community Fund) retains an 80 year interest in the new village hall. This interest commenced in December 2000.
