Para 1.20 | Approximately 1200 girls and young women aged 4 – 18 years participate weekly in units across Wandsworth & Lambeth led by teams of trained volunteers. They enjoy a wide range of activities, challenges and adventure designed to develop their leadership skills, widen their horizons and have fun. In addition, at county level this year girls participated in a nature themed activity day, planting trees on the local commons. A group of 14+ young women participated in an adventurous residential event in the Yorkshire Dales. Two young members and 6 volunteers were selected to participate in international trips to Japan, Europe, Madagascar, Senegal & Norway. We celebrated outstanding achievements with awards for young people and volunteers. |
