## 61[st] Croydon Report

The trustees having been voted in for a 3 year term of office last year. Remained unchanged apart from a last minute resignation from Janna Regina. A replacement will be sought at the next meeting in May / June 2026

No one is paid for what we do.

The Group consists of

Beavers 24 Members 4 Young Leaders 4 Team Members,

Cubs 37 Members 3 Young Leaders 6 Team Members,

Scouts 24 Members 6 Team Leaders

Totals 83 members (plus some on waiting lists for Beavers and Cubs)

7 Young Leaders and 16 Team members

Trustees 5

We provide many opportunities for members each year. We have run a camp for each section plus a camp for all the sections together, there have been district activities to join in with, there have been days out, there have been fun meetings each week. Many fires lit! Many badges earned. Lots of new skills learned and fun had.

It has been hard, people changing their plans after deadlines, children not turning up with the things they have been told to bring. We are reviewing the events we offer in light of how much extra work we have had to do above what is needed to run the event.

So what can be done to help

Parents can support the Group by joining the ‘Friends of 61[st] Croydon’ WhatsApp group and see what they can do to get involved

They can check their child’s diary is clear, they want to attend an event, and if necessary, their friend is going before booking.

They can make sure they turn up with everything they have been asked to bring

They can offer to help (at the moment a Beaver Team Leader is needed, and a couple more Trustees in the spring.

They can offer to help look after the HQ, tents, halls, forecourt, keeping everywhere tidy.

They can help to raise funds for our Group.

Respect our leaders and team members who have completed all their training and know what they are doing.

Come to the AGM next year the frst time we ask you.

Help to make the next year a happy and positive one!

Thank you to those of you who are part of our teams and help when asked. Thank you to our Trustees for their commitment to making sure that we do everything safely.

Thank you most of all to our Team Leaders ,Akela and Beth who give tirelessly of their time energy and enthusiasm for nothing. They are doing a great job! It is great that we have a successful Group with amazing children. We hope we will have a great year ahead!
