15th FINCHLEY SCOUT GROUP Report and Accounts for the year ended 31 MARCH 2025 MAJOR ACTIVITIES AND ACHIVEMENTS IN THE YEAR This year has been a busy one with all sections (Beaver Scouts, Cub Scouts, Scouts) fulfilling the training programme for both boys and girls. There are currently 91 uniformed members of the Group. The activities undertaken by the sections have included maps and activities to develop self- onfidence, self awareness and self-respect, also to develop personal faith and values, to make friends and to have fun, to learn team work and acquire leadership skills working with others to understand the world and its peoples and cultures. The badgework programme continues and service to the community included a party given for the elderly. At the end of the year income reseNes amounted to £69630 The Group's policy on reserves is to hold funds to enable a full programme to continue and to enable it to meet any future costs of maintenance of buildings and equipment. be they planned or unforeseen. There was no major capital expenditure in this year. The Trustees have identified the major risks to which they believe the Group is exposed. They have carried out risk assessments for their property and activities The objects of the Group are to continue the training of youth as good citizens through the Scout Association policies and organisation. The Group is a trust established under the rules which are common to all Groups except that the freehold property is reserved by Trust Deed for the use by the Group or failing this for the youth of Finchley. Trustees are appointed in accordance with the Policy, Organisation and Rules of The Scout Association. 15th FINCHLEY SCOUT GROUP Report and Accounts for the year ended 31 MARCH 2025 Independent Examiner's Report to the Trustees of the 15th Finchley Scout Group I report on the accounts of the Group for the year ended 31 March 2025, which are set out on pages 3 to 6. Respective Responsibilities of Committee and Examiner The Group's Trustee are responsible for the preparation of the accounts. They consider that an audit is not required this year (under section 43(2) of the Charities Act 1993 (the 1993 Act} and that an independent examination is needed. It is my responsibility to= examine the accounts {under Section 43(3)la) of the 1993 Act}- to follow the procedures laid down in the General Directions given by the Charity Commissioners (under section 43(7)(b) of the 1993 Act)-, and to state whether particular matters have come to my attention. Basis of Independent Examiner's Report My examination was carried out in accordance with the General Directions given by the Charity Commissioners (under section 43(7){b} of the 1993 Act). An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the Group and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeking explanations from you as a trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit, and consequentiy I do not express an audit opinion on the view given by the accounts.
