The groups constitution was amended to allow more trustee members to be appointed and a sub team for fundraising was established. This was approved by Dave Mote, Nicole Grimwood and a show of hands of everyone present. All members from last year AGM who were appointed were appointed for 3 year as stated in Scout Association POR for trustees. Mr Paul Tolhurst resigned from being a trustee. The newly appointed trustees are TBC 4.0 Chairman’s report Hello – Once again it gives me great pleasure to provide my brief report for the AGM. Our Group continues to thrive, grow and remains one of the largest in the Dartford District. This is due to the amazing dedication of our Leadership team - so ably led by our GSL, Jane Ball. Fun-based programs designed to stimulate and develop our young people do not just happen and certainly do not come out of a manual. All sectional activities are designed by our Leaders to entertain and stimulate our Scouts, Cubs, Beavers, but follow Scouting Movement guidelines - and that is not easy to achieve. So, hats off to the hard-working, and probably now partially deaf Leadership team. But the inevitable truth about our Leaders is that they arrive, make their mark, but eventually move on. In the last year a couple of our established faces have stepped down and new Leaders stepped up to fill their large hiking boots. So, my thanks to Sue and Chris who have moved on from their Beaver duties. You will be truly missed – so don’t be strangers. We are always on the lookout for parents or friends who would like join Jane’s jolly league of Leaders. So please don’t be shy - come and see what our Leaders do to entertain and educate our young people and possibly become a uniformed Leader. I would also like to take the opportunity to thank my fellow Trustee Board members, some of whom help the sections but also provide their invaluable personal skills and workplace experience to support the Group’s on-going management.
Again, if you want to join us but not wear a very attractive uniform you can become a Trustee and join the Board. I wrote this report following the resurrected St Georges Day Parade in Central Park and Family Camp. So, I can say how wonderful it was to see so many of members turn up, enjoy the sun, the story of St George and take part in the parade, which was a long way for some of our squirrels – but everyone made it round. Sadly, I cannot talk about Family Camp, and I know by the time you read this we will all know that it was absolutely brilliant. The sections will provide their own reports, but again I would like to say how immensely proud I am to be the Chairman of such a wonderful Group. Thank you all so very much. Yours in Scouting, David Mote, Stone (Dartford) Group Chairman

| 4.0 | Group Lead Volunteer/Group Scout Leader report | |
Good evening, everyone. This year we received recognition from the District and County that we have grown from the previous year and this mainly due to the strong Leadership team we have in Stone Scout group. Unfortunately, there was no St George’s day parade in 2024 so with 1st Dartford and The Brent 6th Dartford we did our own. It was held at the Claire Tiltman centre, which we did a little parade in a circle and did a run around quiz that everyone seemed to enjoy. We held our annual Family camp at Shepherds Park, Faversham. This year theme was the (non) Olympics and we hired Inflatables for everyone to enjoy. We had our usual Paul Baker’s challenge which was to build the Olympic rings out of what you could find on the camp site. This was won by a Beaver Maisie Page, congratulations to here. We did have a few new families, and they were made very welcome by all. The Scout Association decide to change their computer system in July which is different, and it has taken me awhile to work out how to do things. I am now getting there.
My summer was taken up by attending Everard Scout camp at Eaton Vale and Cub camp at Dymchurch. As part of my role, it is to help any section that requires another leader due to many different reasons. I enjoy visiting all the sections and getting to know the young people. In September we held our AGM for 23/24 which was a little later than normal. Thank you to all those that attended and enjoyed the Disco afterwards. As a group we have not had to do a lot of fundraising in recent years except our annual burger stall at Dartford Firework night. I would like to thank the Lions for asking us to return year after year it is very much appreciated. We also did bag packing and Carol singing at Asda and I am not sure who likes it the most us or the customers. This year we have received some grants from Penny Cole, Stone Parish council and the Lions. This has been well spent on the new front door to the Hall, new roofing for the garage and storage areas and new LED lighting in the hall, garage, outside and storage areas. Thank you to Penny, Stone Parish council and the Lions. For extra fundraising please can you complete the gift aid form, (if you pay tax), sent out by your leaders for us to claim back 25p in every pound on your subscription. If you would like to complete one or for me to forward one by email come see me at the end of the AGM. Thank you. Every year Stone Scout group is present at the Remembrance parades in Dartford and at Stone. I am very proud of the squirrels, beavers, cubs and scouts who attend dressed very smart in their uniforms. Thank you, parents, carers and family members, for letting them parade proudly. In December we went to the Woodville halls as a Group to see the Panto. The Beast from the programme the Chase was in it. Not his greatest performance! In 2025 we were very reluctant to increase the weekly subscription but due to increase in all our out goings this became inevitable. Thank you all for your support and understanding. We have had some change in leadership at Rawhide Beavers with Chris leaving at February half term, Sue (after 25 years) at Easter and Jo in May. I would like to thank Katie for stepping up and becoming Rawhides Leader and taking on this responsibility. Thank you. If anyone would like to volunteer and
help at Rawhide on a permanent basis, please speak to myself. I would like to wish a huge congratulations to Carina Hunt (Hoadley) on the birth of Evie and getting married, Saxon can’t wait to have you back in September. I am very proud to be part of Stone Scout Group with exceptional Squirrels, Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers. The Leadership team are very committed to deliver a brilliant programme which helps the young people grow into their full potential. Thank you to all of you for making my role easy. I also have to thank the Trustee board for looking after the business side of the group and helping if ever we need them. The last thing I need to do tonight is announce who has won the GSL award started by my husband when he was the GSL. It was to award anyone connected to the group for any achievements, overcoming situations or just doing their best. I had 2 nominations this year for this award, so it made my decision harder. The award goes to ………………. THANK YOU FOR SUPPORTING US, HERE’S TO THE FUTURE Jane

Group Accounts 2024-25.pdf 2024 - 2025 this has been another year where I have not been about for a few months but fortunately most of the Treasurer’s role is automatic and the parts that needed to be done have been covered by other individuals – thank you to all of them. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank each sections bookkeeper/accounts person+++ who do all the real day to day work in keeping the sections going. The detailed accounts for the year as of 31st March 2025 are on a separate report, but please see below highlights of the main figure – Accounts Total Income £ 45,519 Total Expenditure £(44,520
(Profit) for the period £ 999 Hall hire for this period was £ 5,330 this was up £ 465 on the previous year We spent a fair amount of money on repairing the hut – including having a new security door fitted Thank you to all those who turned up to help with these jobs. Donations and Grant. - we have received this year The mayor (KCC) £ 2,500/ Stone Council £ 1,080/ Benevity £ 200/ Other £ 486. The majority of our income and expenditure relates to the cost of camping so are restricted funds and we do not make a surplus on this. Cash at bank Brought Forward £ 34,229 Carried Forward £ (32,493) Movement £(1,736) The group’s bank account was £ 15,297 the difference between the carried forward amount above and this totals £ 17,196. This is made up of the amount of funds held by the individual sections. which are controlled by the individual sections. The groups current bank balance as at the 4thJuly 2025 is £ 9,227. We have just paid out the premium for insurance on the hut which has cost us £3.1k – the bank account balance should improve once payments are recovered from the sections Iin conclusion it has been yet another difficult year financially where many of our costs have increased but our income has not improved Hopefully we will be given the opportunity to fund raise later in the year to help increase the groups bank balance. Thank you. David Theobald Honorary Treasurer

Pebbles Squirrel Drey We have onlybeen opened 2years and what 2years theyhave
been! We have had a great time watching them grow and move up to beavers and continue to achieve the best they can there. We have been doing lots of badge work and we have had a number of squirrels achieve their acorn award, their highest award they can achieve. They have shown a lot of resilience when we have been doing badge work, they have been learning to fence (this was a fantastic activity for them to do something they may never of tired before), learning about different places around the world and their celebrations, we have gone out and explored different areas around us and even done some litter picking. The Squirrels have been fantastic this year and always have wanted to achieve more and more, even sometimes challenging me when they ask questions. We have invited our mother’s or special person in for an afternoon tea to celebrate Mother’s Day where we decorated plant pot and planted a flower, then for Father’s Day we invited the father’s or special person in to use their pioneering skills. Last, but not least, I need to thank the people who have continued to support me each week, so I would like to say a big thank you to Jane, Debbie, Emma, Annabelle and Hannah and I would also like to thank Lou who come and support when we are a leader down in order for us to continue to run the session. Rawhide Beaver Colony Good evening, everyone, In the last year Rawhide have had quite a few things happen. Firstly, beavers have done a couple of sleepovers, one being their summer camp to Buckmore park. While on these sleepovers they visited London and went on different types of transport some of these being cable carts, buses and trains. When they went to their summer camp, they did all sorts of activities for example caving and campfire, where they sang at the top of their lungs. Beavers had a lovely turn out for Panto and everyone who went loved it and cannot wait for this year's panto. Beavers have done so much to try and achieve their bronze award, and I can proudly say that I have got 6 Beavers that need to be rewarded for it and I could not be any prouder of them all. Also, this year I have had a few tough goodbyes from the leadership team. First it was Chris who left in February half term due to work commitments. I will always be grateful for all the
hard work he has done while at beavers and helping me do all my risk assessments when I told Sue they were done, sorry Sue. Not just that, but being there for the Beavers, helping with camps and creating the campfires. So, Chris thank you from the bottom of my heart and I mean it when I say you will truly be missed. Then not long after Chris left our main leader, who held us all together and kept me and Chris in check, (well mainly me), Sue left us in April to be with her family. Now what can I say about Sue, other than she was always there for the beavers, always putting on a brave face on, even with everything she had going on in her life. She always had time for the beavers and leaders. Sue was always there to give advice and always gave me a cuddle when I needed it. Sue has helped me so much over the years and has shaped me into the leader I am becoming today. So, Sue when I say thank you, I really do mean it and I am grateful for everything you have done, and I bet all the beavers you have helped over the many years you have been in scouting would also say thank you. After Sue left, I then had Jo leave in May half term, who had stepped up while I was on maternity with Hunter and carried on when I returned and all I can say to that is thank you for all your help and the input with planning camps the lot, so Jo thank you so much. That's the sad part of my leadership team done, now to the more positive part. Firstly, I stepped up to Rawhide leader. I am still adjusting but hopefully I am doing alright within the role. Next Emma has decided to come over to Rawhide to help me and I can't wait to see what Emma has to offer. I have had Jane (my mum) come along each week to help Rawhide out as without her, Rawhide would not be able to run which would be so sad! I do need another leader to come along and be a part of the Rawhide leadership Team permanently, it can either be a leader or a parent who is willing to volunteer each week and go into uniform for me. Last thing now is to say who has got Beaver of the year award and the reason why they have been given this. It is because they are always polite, helpful to all the beavers, they are kind and are willing to try new things and have always got a smile on their face. So, beaver of the year goes to...... Saxon Beaver Colony This year has been fantastic The beavers have been amazing this year; they have been more than willing to have a go at anything we have thrown at them.
We have been focusing on completing a lot of badge work such as having a visit from a man talking about space, learning different knots, taking part in trash fashion making our own outfits out of recycling and taking part in different celebrations from around the world. We had a great turn out for both Remembrance and St George’s day, they all looked so smart and done everything we could have asked of them. I can say they did all the leaders proud; we had a treat to bowling in May which was brilliant fun had by all! We held a Christmas party for all of Stones beavers and squirrels to attend and it really went well. We done an afternoon full of craft, dancing and even Father Christmas took time out of his busy schedule to come and visit us. To finish the day off Saxon beavers continued into a sleepover watching a Christmas film and cooking Christmas treats the next day. Lastly, I would love to thank the whole of Saxon team Nicole my side kick, Jane, Carina, Emma and our young leader Josh. Without these leaders Saxon would not be as great as it is. We are looking forward to getting Carina back off maternity leave and sad we are saying goodbye to Emma who is going to help at Rawhide. Elm Cub Pack We have had another great year at Elm pack. We currently have 12 cubs on our books 4 will be moving up into Scouts at the end of the year We have been doing lots and lots of badge work finding lots of fun & different ways the Cubs can earn their badges often using OSM as an information source, we have awarded 70 badges plus 1 Silver Award We have also been lucky enough to have Elm represented at the Remembrance Day & St Georges day parades, TrailJam and Family camp Lucy has been helping us with our finances, and we have 2 very willing young leaders in Jack & Ben. And more recently Robin has been helping us as our new Leader We have had a few guest appearances with Steph, Lucy, Jane helping out when we have been short of Leaders. Terry Canham - Adrian Reeve –
Birch Cub Pack What a fantastic year we have had. We have had a lot of changes within the leadership team. With someone (me) always saying I would never go in uniform, they finally talked me into it, so at family camp I got invested as assistant cub leader. Then in September me and Kelvin swapped roles. We had 28 Cubs last April. We have been on a few visits this year: CPA Athletics track, Ebbsfleet police station, Shorne country park, Gurdwara Sikh Temple in Gravesend, Beacon Woods, River Thames Walk, and our river walk in the Darent River. During our pack meetings we have gained various badges (Local Knowledge, Communicator, Global Issues, Scientist, Cyclist, Navigator, Fire Safety, Artist, Home Help, Home Safety, Athletes and all our Challenge Badges). We have had fun with games nights, conkering, Cub Forums, craft, Halloween Party, Christmas Party, cooking, pancake making, Easter Egg Hunt, challenges, shooting, archery, Sports Day, we celebrated St George’s Day, Remembrance Parade and much more. We did Carol singing at Asda and raised some money for our Section. We went to panto with the whole group. We have been to 3 camps – Dymchurch Summer Camp, where we slept in tents and went on Dymchurch miniature railway, swimming and visited Port Lympne safari park. Visiting the beach and the arcades, we had a day cooking all our own food on fires. We also did knife craft, archery, tie-dyed t-shirts, had a water Olympics, campfire, all the usual camp fun and we had a great time. Belchamps in October, where we did campfire, a day out to Southend beach, the adventure island, had fish and chips then watched an amazing firework display. Scout House in January, when we went to Gillingham ice rink, we did tent pitching, made homemade chicken nuggets and ice cream cookie cups, shelter building, fire lighting and visited the local park to play some wide games. Let not forget how fun family camp was. With a whole list of activities, fancy dress, lots of fun and giggles. 9 Cubs have been awarded with the highest award in Cub Scouting – The Silver Award. A huge thank you to our Cubs and parents for their commitment
to the Pack meetings, camps and supporting our fundraising events and a huge thank you also to Sarah, Jane, Kelvin, my amazing hubby Mackney, Eli & Georgia for their help throughout the year. As this wouldn't be possible without all of your help and knowledge. Vicki Everard Scout Troop We commenced our activities on April 24 with 20 Scouts. Following the Easter Holidays, we participated in the St Georges Parade, where we had an excellent turnout. Subsequently, we embarked on earning the Electronics badge and constructed an RF Receiver. We focused on an array of outdoor activities and skills in preparation for our Expedition camp. These activities included a hike, Beacon Woods exploration, fire lighting, knot tying, tent setup, map reading, and menu planning. In June, we collaborated with the 1st Dartford Scouts for our Expedition Camp, hiking the Darent Valley Path and applying all the skills learned during prior meetings. We concluded the summer with our annual River Walk at Westminster Fields, which remains a popular event. Our Summer Camp took place at Eaton Vale Scout Activity Centre in Norfolk. Activities included canoeing, axe throwing, climbing challenges, a visit to the zoo, and an afternoon on the Broads aboard the Southern Comfort. Additionally, we enjoyed ten-pin bowling and a day at Yarmouth Pleasure Beach, concluding with a fish and chip dinner. In September, we focused on indoor badge work, including the Model Maker badge with kits supplied by Warhammer. This session was led by Samuel (Young Leader) and his friends. The Scouts also showed strong participation in the Remembrance Parades in Dartford and Stone, which resulted in a night out at Gravity as a reward. As Christmas approached, we engaged in festive crafts and attended a pantomime. In January 25, we resumed activities with Patrols taking charge. Our events included an exercise evening, a casino night, a "what’s in the box" game, a swap shop evening, and celebrations for Burns Night, Chinese New Year, St David’s Day, Mother’s Day, and St Patrick’s Day. This year, our focus has been on achieving more badges, which the Scouts take great pride in displaying on their uniforms. Congratulations to Khylan Gomersall for receiving the Gold Award, a commendable achievement in Scouting. We extend our gratitude to the Everard Leaders—Kim, Charlie,
and Jane—for their dedication in running weekly sessions and imparting invaluable memories and life skills to the Scouts. A sincere thank you to the parents for entrusting us with their children each week and during camps. Their support is integral to the success of Everard. We look forward to another fun-filled and successful year ahead. Sincerely, Everard Leaders (Mainly Brett) Wise Scout Troop Another busy year for Wise Troop since the last AGM. The troop has been going through some changes over the last year we have had a rise in numbers and lost a few older Scouts to Explorers. We have been trying some new programmes and bringing back some old favourites. On behalf of all the Leaders and Scouts we would like to say thank you to all the parents for their ongoing support, on a personal note I would like to say thank you to all the Scouts For their ongoing commitment to the Troop. Lastly, A special thanks to Matthew Grimwood, Katt Farrar, Louise Jenkins, Nicole Grimwood and Jake Brunsdon, Luke Brooks, Jasmin Cribb, CJ Mackney, Alfie Ellison, Kira Brunsdon, Kai Ashley and Vicki Mackney for all their support to help run the troop on Friday nights and a thank you to Jane Ball for her support. Neil Brunsdon Livingstone Explorer Unit Firstly, apologies from Matt Anscomb as he is unable to be here this evening. Numbers: 16 Members (around 4-5 to be invested) Activities over the year: We have had a varied programme this year, bringing some new unique activities and experiences to the Explorers whilst keeping our tried and tested favourites. On top of this we have been testing our abilities against the rest of the district and definitely making a name for ourselves. We’ve attended activities such as Kayaking, Tug of War and Rounders.
Our Explorers, with many thanks to both Vikki and Kelvin, attended the Big Weekend in 2024. All was enjoyed with many activities being completed and many ready and willing to go again. We also are booked for KIJ 2025 summer camp with a healthy number of young people signed up. An added excitement for our Explorers at KIJ is that there will be a scout free zone for them to party and relax. We have grown in numbers which is amazing, and we look forward to another exciting programme for the next year incorporating badge work, camps, hikes and more evening/days out for the young people. Platinum Awards: We are very proud to announce that we have had 3 members receive their Platinum awards: Samuel Cooper, Eli Mackney and Jack Reeve. Well done to you all. We have a lot of members working towards theirs currently and we will continue to support them with this as much as possible. Leadership: Livingstone Leadership has expanded over the past year, with Josh Anscomb returning to the leadership role, attending more nights where he can. We have also welcomed Luke Brooks as a uniformed leader, and Jasmin Cribb as an occasional helper. This expansion to leadership has allowed us to bring new ideas to the group and allowed us to run more ambitious nights. Explorer of the year: For this year, the Explorer winning this will be… 7.0 District Report Neil the District Lead Volunteer said how well our AGM is run and it is very well structured. He thanked the adult volunteers, the young people and their parents. INDEPENDENT EXAMINER'S REPORT TO THE TRUSTEES OF THE
STONE (DARTFORD) SCOUT GROUP
I report on the accounts of the Group for the year ended 31st March 2025 which are set out on pages ........................2 - 4
Respective responsibilities of trustees and examiner
The Group's trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts. They consider that an audit is not required for this year (under Section144(2) of the Charities Act 2011 (the 2011 Act) and that an independent examination is needed.
It is my responsibility to:
Examine the accounts (under section 145 of the 2011 (Act);
To follow the procedures laid down in the General Directions given by the Charity Commissioners (under Section145(5)(b) of the 2011 Act); and
To state whether particular matters have come to my attention.
Basis of Independent examiner's report
My examination was carried out in accordance with the General Directions given by the Charity Commissioners. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the Group and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts. and seeking explanations from you as trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit, and consequently no opinion is given as to whether the accounts present a 'true and fair view' and the report is limited to those matters set out in the statement below
Independent Examiner's statement
In connection with my examination, no matter has come to my attention:
-
Which gives me reasonable cause to believe that in any material respect the requirements - to keep accounting records in accordance with Section 130 of the 2011 Act and
-
to prepare accounts which accord with the accounting records and comply with the accounting requirements of the 2011 Act and the Regulations
-
have not been met; or
-
To which, in my opinion, attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached,
