|Summary of the main achievements of<br>the charity during the year||
||~~2024/25 continued the excellent level of adventure and~~<br>service that we have come to expect from 1st Northfleet Scout<br>Group. Every young person has had opportunities galore to<br>learn new things, to grow, to make friends and to become part<br>of something truly special.<br>At 1st Northfleet, we deliver all these opportunities to around<br>80 young people on a weekly basis and we are about to<br>welcome even more into our family. But this could not be<br>possible without our amazing team of volunteers within the<br>group. Last year we announced new volunteers joining us<br>and some of those were only able to spend a brief amount of<br>time with us, whereas others are still here today. Other<br>volunteers have been here years, as you will see later tonight<br>in our awards presentation. And others have joined between<br>the last AGM and now too. They all have one thing in<br>common though, the want and dedication to make young<br>people lives better, to teach new skills and build a better<br>future for those young people. I personally, thank every single<br>one of those volunteers for what they do.<br>At the end of 2024 The Scouts undertook what was called<br>‘Transformation’ – a period of time where structures and titles<br>were update, new digital tools to support leaders were<br>introduced and the adult membership system was replaced. It<br>was a tough time, and had many teething issues, some that<br>still stand today. However, bar the changes to how the<br>Trustee Board, formally the Executive Committee is set up,<br>the effect on the Group was minimal. Titles did change as we<br>now have Team Leaders, Team Members and I myself am<br>now the Group Lead Volunteer as opposed to having Scout<br>Leader, Assistant Leaders and Group Scout Leaders… we<br>are still all Scout Leaders and still delivering to the best of our<br>ability.<br>Camps and activities have continued to happen and grow as<br>well. Bub camp, our annual camp for Beavers and Cubs<br>together has found its place in our calendar as a Halloween<br>themed event and Scub camp for the Cubs and Scouts took<br>the form of Jedi Training this year. One of my favourite<br>activities in the Cubs Block Cars, a racing spectacle. The<br>Scouts are ever active in the vast District Calendar which has<br>seen a number of Scouts take part in camps at Hopehill,<br>water-based activities at Leybourne Lake and even Hillwalking<br>experiences in the Lake District and in Snowdonia. Our<br>youngest section, the Squirrels, are as amazing as ever<br>taking part in group, district and county events as well! On top<br>of all this is obviously the amazing stuff they all take part in<br>weekly within the group. Obviously, within the sections the<br>young people work towards various awards, hopefully<br>culminating in them achieving the relevant Chief Scouts<br>Award prior to them moving onto the next section. Our<br>volunteers endeavour to make that happen and during the<br>2024-25 year 743 badges have been awarded, with 14 of<br>those being the top award in the sections – the Chief Scouts<br>Award… all in all a massive achievement.<br>Family Camp is still a cornerstone of the Groups calendar.<br>Once again 100 people involved in Family Camp in 2024 all<br>taking part in archery, a hike to a local ‘watering hole’,<br>campfires, our open air cinema and of course Scoutmaster. All<br>in all a fantastic weekend that showed that even when plans<br>had to change we still had an amazing time and are a very<br>resilient group.<br>Our Scouting for Everyone Fund continues to operate<br>successfully and is there to make sure there is no financial<br>barrier to young people in the group when it comes to events<br>and activities. If you want more info on that, then please talk<br>to one of the team and they will point you in the right<br>direction.|

**On accounts for the year** 31[st] March 2025 **Charity no** N/A **ended (if any) Set out on pages** (remember to include the page numbers of additional sheets) I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above charity (“the Trust”) for the year ended 31/03/2025. **Responsibilities and** As the charity's trustees, you are responsible for the preparation of the **basis of report** accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”). 

I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act. 

**Independent** I have completed my examination.  I confirm that no material matters have **examiner's statement** come to my attention in connection with the examination (other than that disclosed below *) which gives me cause to believe that in, any material respect: 

- the accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 130 of the Charities Act; or 

- the accounts did not accord with the accounting records; or 

- the accounts did not comply with the applicable requirements concerning the form and content of accounts set out in the Charities (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008 other than any requirement that the accounts give a ‘true and fair’ view which is not a matter considered as part of an independent examination. 

I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
