TRUSTEES’ REPORT

The trustees of the South Ruislip Community Association are pleased to present their annual reports for the year ended 31[st] March 2022.

PRINCIPLE ACTIVITIES AND ACHIEVEMENTS OF THE ASSOCIATION

The Association is a non-profit making organisation. The Association is registered with the Charity Commissioners, registered number 303088. The principle activity of the Association throughout the year was to promote the benefit of the inhabitants of the neighbourhood of South Ruislip by associating with the local authority, voluntary organisations and inhabitants in a common effort to advance education and to provide facilities for recreation and leisure-time occupation. The Association achieved this by providing different activities run by Affiliate Groups.

BABY SENSORY

Baby Sensory are award winning developmental classes for babies from birth – 13 months.

This year is a special milestone for my business as I will be celebrating my 5th Birthday in June. It managed to somehow survive Covid and lockdown and thankfully classes have built up again. I now run 6 classes

at Dean Park Hall with ad hoc weekend sessions throughout the year. In addition I also provide entertainment for 1st Birthday parties in Ruislip and surrounding areas. Classes also run in South Harrow and I will be launching classes again in Greenford in June.

Once again a BIG thank you to Sally and the team at SRCA for the continued support and for all the hard work they do in keeping the venue operating smoothly. I am extremely grateful to be able to run my classes from the hall over the past 5 years.

BOOT CAMP

I've been running Boffo's Bootcamp for 14 years now, adding in Fitness Pilates 7 years ago in 2015, and the pandemic changed everything! I have less people face-to-face as some chose to stay online and either join from their homes or catch up at a time that suits them, so everyone is now spread out. I've had to tech up with live streaming gear and Thursdays are now face-to-face as well as online via Facebook live and Zoom. It is certainly one of the positives to come out of this as now people can join my sessions from anywhere in the world!

BUGEISHA AIKIDO

Bugeisha Aikido's numbers are still low following the non training period due to covid but numbers are picking up. Some of our old regulars have returned and we are receiving some enquiries from people looking to get into something new after 2 years of work from home. We are hopeful for the future of the club.

GENTLE YOGA

The last year has seen a slow but promising rise in attendance of Gentle Yoga. We now have a class on Wednesday as well as the Friday. Looking forward to the year ahead.

KIDOLOGY

Kidology Tots has been running at Deane Park Hall for 12 weeks. We are a parent/ carer, baby and toddler group. We offer free play as well as movement and dance and singing for ages 0 to 4 years.

We would like to thank the South Ruislip Community Centre for invitation to the AGM. We have a great relationship with the centre and we are very grateful for all the facilities provided for us. We have continued have excellent communication with the centre on all matters and we look forward to carrying this into the future. If there is anything we as a group can do to aid the betterment of this centre, we will do our best to do so. We sincerely appreciate the opportunity to use the centre for our needs and for your continued support. The SCC committee is extremely satisfied with the South Ruislip Community Centre and we hope our relationship continues prosperously. Many Thanks.
