RISK ASSESSMENT

The trustees regularly assess any major risks to which the charity is exposed, in particular those related to the operations and finance to the trust, and are satisfied that systems are in place to mitigate the exposure to the major risks.

SUMMARY OF MAIN ACTIVITIES IN RELATION TO THE OBJECTS

To provide suitable facilities for meetings, lectures, classes and any forms of recreation and leisure activities to enhance the lives and conditions of the inhabitants of the area of benefit.

SUMMARY OF THE MAIN ACHIEVEMENTS OF THE CHARITY IN THE YEAR

Continued regular bookings with a diverse number of clubs and organisations, ensuring the Hall is in regular use by local inhabitants. Weekends see many parties for children, adults and families and use of the field for football and cricket.

The field and its perimeter is kept in good condition under the committee's control.

The upstairs meeting room is becoming more popular and the committee is looking to further improve this area to make it more user friendly.

BRIEF STATEMENT OF THE CHARITY’S POLICY ON RESERVES

The charity maintains a general fund and a reserve fund, the latter being funded primarily by volunteer fundraising events.

The charity’s policy is to hold at least 6 months running expenses as a reserve in the general fund. The committee is aware of continuing to review income from hires and fund raising events to ensure Hall running is sustainable.

The charity's trustees consider that an audit is not required for this year under section 144 of the Charities Act 2011 (the Charities Act) and that an independent examination is needed. It is my responsibility to examine the accounts under section 145 of the Charities Act to follow the procedures laid down in the general Directions given by the Charities Commission (under section 145(5)(b) of the Charities Act), and to state whether particular matters have come to my attention BASIS OF INDEPENDENT EXA ATEMENT My examination was caffied out in accordance with general Directions given by the Charity Commission. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the chaiity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual Items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeking explanations from the trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit, and consequently no opinion is given as to whether the accounts present a.true and fairf. view and the report is limited to those matters set out in the statement below.
