Report on the Financial Year of The Maidstone Sea Cadets Corps (229) Ending 31[st] March 2022
Income
A large part of the income of £29,748.64 during 2021/2022 was a Legacy receipt of £10,874.95. There were also Grants receipts from the Government, due to Covid, totalling £10,667.00. It was refreshing to see greater activity within the Unit as reflected in the increase of Subscriptions up to £5,265.00.
Expenditure
Included in the expenditure of £21,403.24 is a relatively large amount of £7,239.99 relating to Building Running Costs and Repairs. Another large amount of £5,958.49 relates to Capital Costs in the purchase of a new Oven and purchase of Computer Equipment.
Overview and Conclusion
The excess of Income over Expenditure of £8,345.40 has at 31[st] March 2022 led to the balance in the bank account of £67,705.91. The Unit is holding £10,945.66 on behalf of the Embryonic Unit which would effectively reduce the Unit’s balance. Nevertheless, the Maidstone Sea Cadets Corps is well prepared for the future with the buildings in good order along with the boats and moorings also in a good state of repair.
