|||||any infectious virus in line with government<br>guidelines,<br>while|
|||||continuing<br>tosupport leaders and members physical and mental|
|||||wellbeing.|
|||||Reduced income from fund raising. The Group is primarily<br>reliant|
|||||upon income from subscriptions<br>and fundraising<br>The youp does|
|||||hold areserve to ensure the continuity<br>of activities should there be|
|||||amajor reduction in income. The Committee<br>could raise the value|
|||||of subscriptions to increase the income to the gmup<br>on an ongoing|
|||||basis, either temporarily<br>or permanently.|

|||||designed to pmvide reasonable<br>assurance<br>against material|
|||||mismanagement<br>orloss, these include 2signatories for all|

|during the year||2022was ayear when Beaver Scouts and Cub Scouts were able to get|
|||back into a full mixed indoor and outdoor programme<br>with most|
|||restrictions ofthe Covid-l9 pandemic removed. Risk assessment<br>and|
|||iznplementation<br>ofhealthy<br>and safe activities were still asever an|
|||iinportant<br>feature ofthe programmes,<br>whilst working towards|
|||achieving<br>Challenge,<br>Stage and Activity badges for aBBeaver Scouts|
|||and Cub Scouts.|
|||Bolstered by newer, eager leaders &supported<br>by expezienced long|
|||standing<br>leaders, the programznes<br>forboth Beaver Scouts and Cub|
|||Scouts were put together atjoint planning<br>meetings, so003sections|
|||enjoyed the same opportunities<br>foz both stimulating<br>indoor and outdoor|
|||activities. Huge thanks go to all the section leadexs who made all the|
|||different activities happen. Their diffezing and important<br>skills are|
|||hugely valued and were very much brought tofruition during this yeax,|
|||the pleasure ofjoining in was clearly demonstrated<br>by the young people|
|||themselves,<br>who aimed todo their best at every opportunity.|

|||Key activities for the Spring 2022 pmgramme<br>mcluded outdoor fun zddth<br>outdoor games fozSpace Badge, avisit to GtSt~s,afabulous set of|
|||activities for learning<br>about Money SkiBs and regulaz favourites of|
|||Chinese New Year and Pancake fun. Builder Badge gave the Beaver|
|||Scouts 0chance to invent and build their own czeations in any format or|
|||materials and to display and talk about these during<br>our weekly|
|||sessions! Youth shaped Scouting at its best.|
|||Key activities for the Summer 2022 Programme<br>included<br>an outdoor|
|||hike and afabulous day atTolmers Scout Activity centre with activities|
|||. for Beaver Scouts including<br>outdoor wide games, photo hunt &outdoor|
|||' crafts. During ouz weekly sessions, they achieved their Gardeners,|
|||Athletics, Communications,<br>Eznergency<br>Aid and Disability badges with|
|||ahigh proportion<br>oftime being outdoors! The usual StGeorge's Day|
|||and May Fair events were well attended by the Cub Scouts, we weze|
|||very proud oftheiz behaviour at the parade and service.|

|! Key activities for the Spzing 2022 programme<br>included Map Reading,|
|:'Hobbies/Collector<br>badges, a fabulous<br>Spring Camp Activity Day with|
|Fires, Shelters and active fun in the woods. There weze regulaz Spring|
|favourites ofChinese New Year and Pancake fun. This term also|
|included<br>an amazing session on Wood identification<br>including<br>hands-on|
|identification<br>and wood rolling fun. Whittling<br>sessions continued the|
|wood theme, the Cub Scouts made Stair own creations to take home.|
|Disability games &learning completed<br>this term's programme<br>activffies.|

|for Cub Scouts including<br>outdoor archery, rolling dimbtng<br>walL|

|outdoor bike ride and afun Sports sess!on The usual StGeorge's Day|
|and May Fait' events were wel'! attended by the Cub Smuts, we were|
|very proud oftheir behaviour<br>at the parade and service.|
|Key activities for the Autumn<br>2022 programme<br>kicked off with aspecial|
|time lighting<br>candles to remember<br>ouz recently deceased !long-serving|
|monarch<br>Queen Elizabeth II.The Cub Scouts supported<br>the annual|
|Remembzance<br>Parade and Service by making fabulous wreaths<br>the|
|week before and again their attendance<br>and behaviour atthe event was|
|superb.|
|The highlight<br>ofthe Autumn<br>term was an amazing, !nfonnative learning|
|trip toBayfordbury<br>Observatory<br>(University ofHertfordhire).<br>The Cub|
|Scouts also enjoyed awell- supported<br>Cooking chagenge and made|
|lanterns for the Christmas<br>Lights On event. The Cuba completed<br>their|
|Home Help badge, learning<br>to iron and roll their own scarves, make tea|
|and toast and importantly<br>to sew awell-earned<br>badge on to their Cub|
|jumpers (a little support was sometimes required)<br>1|
|Well done tn all the Cub Scouts and to their superb, practical &paitient|
|leaders for afabulous 2022!Bigthanks again to all those Sechon|
|Assistants<br>and Parent Helpers who gave the support to make the|
|practical sessions safe &(tm; your mntinued<br>support<br>is much needed|
