Crookham Wat Memorial Halls is a r¢gistered charity (301784) providing a community hall facility

grassed area, and a good car park. The Main Hall has a capacity of150 with a [￿ed stage, a sprung
timber dance floor, modern kitchen and disabled toil¢t with a baby Change. The other hall will take
50 people and provides its own kitchen and toilets. including disabled and baby change facilities.
Both halls have modern double-glazed windows and doors, the Main Hall had its lighting and fire
escape lighting ieplaced with environmentally responsible new LED lights while the smaller hall
had its strip lighting replaced with low energy LED lighiing.
The halls have their electrics, gas, and fire extinguishers checked regularly and have valid safety
certificates for all.
Both halls had antiquated tables remov¢d and r¢plac¢d with modern, lightw¢ight, folding tables.
two sizes, stored on trollies to make them Tnore accessible.
It is possible to book either hall for use belween 8.00am and 12.00 midnight, seven days a week.
The charity is managed by a volunteer committee of trustees generally elected by organisations
using the halls 01 Co-opted members of the public. There ar¢ nominally four officers, Chairman,
Vice-chairnw Secretary, and Treasurer. who are elected annually after th¢ Annual G¢n¢ral
Meeting in May or June. There aTC two e￿pLoyees, one part-time Caretaker and a Lettings
Secretary.
The aim of the charity is to provide the community with two halls for hire, which are well used with
regular bookings. The Treasurer of many years died and ihe charity is looking for another
pem]anent repla¢¢m¢nt. However, finances continue to be run with considerable prudence and
income exceeds costs.
Thc charity has no debts.
When reviewing the charity's aims and objectives and in planning future acts and policies each
year, the Trustees have referred to the Charity Commissioner's guidance on public benefit.
