CHILBOLTON VILLAGE HALL ACCOUNTS 2023124 INDEPENDENT AUDIT REPORT I have completed a validation of the Chilbolton Village Hall Accounts for the financial year end ing on 31, March 2024, which included: l. A sample check of income ralsed through the letting of the Village Hall facilities and other fund- raising activity; 2. A sample check of expenditure incurred on behalf of the Village Hall; 3. Validation of the financial documentation to the accountin8 records that are maintained through an excel spreadsheet,. and 4. Validation of the income and expenditure analysis included in the Annual Statement of Receipt5 and Payments which is attached, together with a reconciliation to the bank statements. The Chilbolton Village Hall achieved a trading surplus of £3,197 during 2023/24, a significant improvement in financial performance, relative to the £4,166 deficit in the previou5 financial year. This surplus was primarily as a result of the doubling of income from fund raising activitie5 and hiring out of the village hall facilities. In addition, the 100 Club made a £1,500 donation to the Village Hall. This surplus has been achieved notwithstanding, significant spending on improvement works completed during 2023124. The Chilbolton Village Hall remains well funded, holding bank balances totalling £43,598 on the 31, March 2024, an increase of approximately £3k during the year. My validation has not included the income and expenditure of the 100 Club, which operates separately and made a deficit of £1,111 in 2023124 due to the £1,500 donation to the Chilbolton Village Hall. Details of the 100 Club receipts and payments are noted, as part of the attached Chilbolton Village Hall Accounts, where it can be seen that the 100 Club had retained funds of £803 on the 31" March 2024. My observations on significant income & expenditure variations during the 2023/24, compared with the previous financial year, are also included in the attached Receipts & Payments Accounts Statement. I confirm that the attached Receipts & Payments Accounts Statement provides an accurate representation of the Chilbolton Village Hall trading position for the year ending 31" March 2024, and the value of available bank balances at that date.
