Lease payments are apportioned between finance expenses and reductK*n of the lease obligation so as to

capitallsed In accordance with the charity's policy on borrowln8 costs.
Assets held under finance lease5 are depreciated in the same way as owned assets.
Operatlng lease payments are recognw as an expense on a strai8ht-Ilne basls over the lease term.
In the event that lease Incentfves are received to enter into operatlng leases, such Incentlvis are
recognised as a liablllty. The aggregate beneftt of incentives is retognised as a ￿duttiOn of rental
expense on a stral8ht-Ilne basls.
Penslon costs
The charity operates a defined contrlbution plan for its employees. A defined contribution plan is
penslon plan under which the charity pays fixed contribution5 into a separate entity. Once the
contributions have been paid the charity has no further payments obligations. The contributions are
recognlsed as expenses when they fall due. Amounts not paid are shown in attruals in the balance sheet.
The assets of the plan a￿ held separately from the charity in independently admiftisteod funds.
