with the increase
in tariffs our main concern is how these||
|||increases can be managed.
The Committee
has|spent the year looking at|
|||ways to reduce this cost as follows;||
|||1) The installation
ofsolar panels.||
|||2)
Changing
all light fittings to LED fittings.||
|||3) Reducing usage||
|||Unfortunately,
to add to our problems
our Insurers
insisted that||
|||recommendations
highlighted
in the 5-Year Electrical Report completed||
|||in 2021 had to be earned out. The system when|installed
in 1993,when|
|||the Hall was built, complied
with the regulations|at that time but do not|
|||meet present requirements.||
|||The total cost of installing
solar panels, changing|the lights to LED fittings|
|||and carrying
out the 5-Year Report works was estimated
to bef40,000||
|||which would use up all our present funds. We are, therefore,
looking for||
|||grants to cover some of these costs.||
|||However,
despite the above-mentioned
problems|there have been some|
|||achievements
during the year as follows;||
|||1) The former Parish Office was refurbished|and subsequently
hired|
|||out.||
|||2) The defibrillator
sited on the front ofthe Village Hall is now fully||
|||operational.||
|||3) The exterior ofthe Hall has been repainted
and the Perspex
in the||
|||front door has been replaced.||
|||4) The Small Steps Pre-School licence has|been renewed
for a|
|||further two years.||
|||5) The window
in the Lord Perry Hall which|was broken has been|
|||replaced.||
|||6) 6 Monthly
reviews ofthe fire alarm systems were carried out.||
|||7)
A 'special clean' ofthe building was carried out.||
