Section D Achievements and performance
## Chairman’s report
**Summary of the main** The past year has seen a couple of major capital projects to the main hall **achievements of** building. Firstly, the fitting of solar panels to the roof greatly reducing our **the charity during** electricity costs. Next the lighting in the main hall has been replaced and **the year** upgraded to LED units, a great improvement over the old system. Also, later in May a replacement hot water cylinder will be installed. These last two items are not unexpected as they are 20 plus years old. Events organised by the committee are generally well attended particularly the monthly community lunches,,Easter and Xmas Bingos, Quiz and Games Nights. The committee continues to work hard to come up with ideas for new events and fundraising, I thank them all for their efforts . Sadly we are losing our Secretary Muriel Neumann, moving on to pastures new, so the hunt is on for her replacement.
Hall hiring continues to be steady particularly weekday daytime, weddings and parties at the weekends are good although with fewer bars for us to run. Finally as always the need for more volunteers and committee members never goes away.

||I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above
charity (“the Trust”) for the year ended**30/04/2025**.
As the charity's trustees, you are responsible for the preparation of the
accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011
(“the Act”).|||
I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.
