Section D Achievements and performance

Chairman’s report **Summary of the main** Another year another report, my tenth! **achievements of the charity during** I start as usual by giving many thanks to all Committee members for their continued **the year** support and hard work over the past year, particularly Mary Mathers, who continues to do several jobs that keeps the hall running smoothly.

Since my last report a number of changes and projects have taken place, firstly after many years we decided that 2023 would be the last time we would run car boot sales, a lack of sellers and helper fatigue being the major reason.

Autumn 2023 saw the completion of our major play equipment project, the Recreation area now has a zip wire, bouldering wall and rope walking pieces. The solar panels for the Hall roof will become a reality later this year, thanks in part, to a grant from Dorset County Council and yet again the hard work of MM chasing the planning department for advice and guidance.

We continue to hold a variety of social events throughout the year which are generally well supported and help to raise money for the hall and local charities that also benefit. As ever, the work never stops and the need for more volunteers does not go away.
