The charity is affiliated to the Dorset Village Halls Association.
Review of major risks: The most significant potential risks are in the operation of the building. These are reduced as far as possible by adhering to Health and Safety and Fire regulations and observing statutory inspection requirements. Financially the buildings are covered by insurance. Other risks include food safety and child safety. The charity has a published policy on Child Protection which all trustees and hirers are made aware of. The kitchen is inspected by the Local Authority. The playground is inspected annually by RoSPA.

Section D Achievements and performance
Chairman’s report **Summary of the main** Another year gone by and another report to write. Firstly, many thanks to all **achievements of** committee members for their continued support and efforts to help keep our **the charity during** organisation in good order. **the year** The past year has seen continued use of the hall by local groups, Lytchett Brownies and Guides, short mat bowls, Morden Minis and Greywood youth football. NHS and other business day time training sessions are recovering post Covid. Wedding and party bookings have grown back to pre-2020 levels, a much-needed increase in our income. Hall events have done well this year, community lunches continue to be well attended as are the two Bingo evenings. The annual quiz and games nights are good fun but could do with a little more support. Car boot sales returned last summer and after a slow start again proved popular with the wider populous. Projects undertaken in the past year include a refurbishment of the hall floor and after a village consultation and much discussion some new play equipment has been agreed (a zip wire and climbing wall) to be installed in Summer 2023. Many thanks to Katherine Rowett who has done great work in obtaining a large grant of £10,000 from the Lottery Community Fund and for liaising with the supply company to help push ahead with this major investment. Another great project that is in early discussion with the committee is to possibly install solar panels on the hall roof with a view to reducing our energy costs in the future. After a long wait and with the help of the Friends of Morden Village Hall (the dads of the minis) I finally installed the two new benches in the play park. Again, I take the opportunity to thank all who have come forward to offer help to get these jobs done.

||I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above
charity (“the Trust”) for the year ended**30/04/2023**.
As the charity's trustees, you are responsible for the preparation of the
accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011
(“the Act”).
I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out
under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I
have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission
under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.|||
**Independent** I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have **examiner's statement** come to my attention in connection with the examination (other than that disclosed below *) which gives me cause to believe that in, any material respect:
- the accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 130 of the Charities Act; or
