Tl)Is licls beeri a busy year with a good level of regular and one•off bookings.
During the summer thè premlses were broken into and Ihe tractor Sto￿n. This was fruslraling but the
response was a good joint effort with an initial response from Penmoor Nursery and the Bowling
Club and our Treasurer dealing with the insurance claim with support from Horrabridge Rangers.
Replacement of the Iraclor and arranging suitable storage for il is ongoing.
11 had been intended that the ladies, loilels would be partially refvrbi$hed in 2025 with the remainirvJ
toilets to be done al a future dale once fijnds pemiitted. But Tony, Nina and I pul together an
applicat￿n lo Ihe West Devon Borough Council Community Halls Grant Team for co-funding towards
refurbishing all the loilels. We were awarded £8500 which will supplement Ouf own funds arKI
another grant of £4000. Although the applicat￿￿ process meant a delay, the result is that we can
now fully refurbish all the toilets. The work 1$ booked in lor April 2026.
We are participating in an initiative stsrtod this year by Oèvon Communities Together which has
brought together village halls in Wesl Devon at meetings lo share exp8nenc6s, ideas and
knowledge.

The hall eonlinues to be well-used by bcal groups and ￿sidentS as a venue for a wide range of
social aclivilies, fundraising and meetings as well as events open lo members of the public such as
Ihe annu81 Yelverton Art Festival. All parts ol Ihe premises are in regular use, including the field. Thi*
means however th81 parking can be a source of Iwstratifffi.
Thanks are owed to our Bookings Secrelary Nina, who is the point of contsct for everyone using the
hall and who has had a ￿sY year. I'm in no doubt that the increased level of bookings in 2025 is due
in no small part lo Nina.

Horrabridge Rangers IHRSA) continue to use the field for junior matches, and I'd like lo thank them
for their work maintsining the field. I'm also gratefvl to HRSA for their 5UPPOrt in dealing with the

well-used so it is inevitable that issues wdl arise such as Iruslrations over competing demands for

on the committee lo help out and support each other. partscularfy when there are problems such as
the break-in. I ho￿ that this year's report highlights the ways in which everyone conlribules towards
