*********

During the year, Mrs Lin Hillier took on payments / bank reconciliations and Mr Doug Richardson has carried on sending invoices to hirers. I would like to thank them both for their hard work.

We have had our 5 year electrical installation inspection, installed fire detection equipment, fitted a new central heating boiler and thermostats, decorated the annexe and carried out other minor works during the year. We are awaiting repairs to the car park barrier, having the car park lines repainted and repairing the wall bordering Gables Road.

Our caretaking / cleaning staff, (Sam Fincher, Graham Bodkin and Karen Vincent), have done an excellent job keeping the hall clean. Sam has done a wonderful job over the past years but, because of his poor health, is having to retire. We are looking for someone (or possibly two people) to take over. The trustees would like to thank him officially for doing such a good job – we will really miss him.

Thanks also to Frances Wilcox, who manages all the bookings, Michael Hollings, our Chairman and all the trustees who give their time voluntarily in order to keep the hall running.

Mrs C B Allan (Treasurer)
