## **TRUSTEE’S REPORT FOR THE YEAR 2022**
The year 2022 has been mixed in many ways. March saw the ending of Covid 19 regulations and the following months were a learning curve as we all came to terms with the situation. I would like to thanks the Committee for all their work during this time.
The committee went forward with the application for allotments on the field. The revelation that the part of the field concerned was now designated a zone 3 flood risk was a surprise to us all. This affected the application which required a second application for a letter of Lawful Development. This has now been granted .
The committee decided to apply for the phasing of the Project George extension to allow work to be carried out which makes use of the existing build. Following consultation with building control it has been agreed the original planning permission can be phased into two parts. This will allow the hall to carry out the work required to make use of the building work already completed and to obtain a completion certificate for that phase. This agreement also means that the outstanding planning permission will stay in place. This will allow the completion of the original plans in the future. Building Regulations have now been granted for this work to be carried out.
The Committee has instigated plans and fund raising to replace the Play Park equipment. The plans can be seen on the notice board in the hall
The Market has gone from strength to strength since March and is a strong social institution for the Village and the surrounding area. The funds raised are a main stay for the financial stability of the Hall. The volunteers who run the coffee shop are very much appreciated.
I am sure 2023 will see many challenges and progress based on the foundation work already carried out.
