amend?dl. and constitutes an unlncorporated charlty.
A Mana8ement CommSttee conslstlng of 3 honorary officers, between 5 and 10 ordinary mernbers, one
selected member from Torbay Councll and on8 representatlve from Torbay Youth se￿I(e is Tesponsible for
admlnlsterln8 and mana8lngthe charlty.

The trustees have a duty to Identlfy and review the rlsks to whlch the charlty Is exposed and to ensure
appropr5ate controls are In place to prov5de reasonable assurante ag8lnst fraud and erior.

The focus of the charlty's actlvltles contSnue to be provldln8 a space for the youth and other member5 of the
Communlty to run workshops, Èvènts and partlclpatè In 5PDrtln8 aCt￿ltIes.
The charlty's oblectlves and fundin8 do Ilmlt the actlvltles of the Barton Acorn Youth, Communlty and Sports
Centre In the Torquay area. The number of people helped bythe charSty and who use the facllltles provlded, Is
estlmated at 6,000. The trustees have pald due regard to 8uldance Issued by the Charlty Commlsslon In
deciding what activiliesthe tharity should undertake,

It Is the pollcy of the charlty that un￿strIcted funds whlch have not been desl8nated for 3 Specific usè should
be malntalned at a level whlch allows for any shortfalls In future fundlng. The trustees c¢nslders that reserves
at thls1evel wlll ensure thaL In the eveni of a slgnlfl£ant drop In fundlng, they wlll be able to contlnue the
charity's current activities, while consideration 15 8lVe to ways in which additional funds may be ralsed.
There are no restrlctlons on the charity's power to Invest. The charlty's Investment pollcy 15 to Invest surplu5
funds in Ilquid, or neai Iiqltid, ass￿5 with a low risk. The trusteess are satls1fled wlth the return on these
investmènts.
