## _**BOVEY TRACEY SWIMMING POOL ASSOCIATION**_ ## **Registered Charity No. 300773.** ## **ACTIVITY** The Bovey Tracey Swimming Pool Association is a registered charity run by its committee members. The pool is open from April to September each year for use by the general public. In addition, the pool is regularly hired by local schools and youth organisations. ## **ANNUAL REPORT** Swimming income for 2023 was down by £2991 on the previous year. Additional swimming income was achieved from swim school, lessons, lifesaving clubs, pool hire and Aquacise. Expenditure was up by £860 on the previous year. Even with a saving of approximately £3500 from the installation of a new solar panel system, the cost of electricity increased to £8415. £6804 was spent on equipment maintenance and replacement during 2023. The overall effect was an operating loss of £9389, compared with an operating surplus of £389 in 2022. Other income included a grant from the Local Authority, other donations, the surplus on the sale of refreshments and stock in the kiosk, interest received on our investments and fundraising activities. This resulted in the Pool having a surplus of £12505, compared to a surplus of £25535 in 2022. In addition, grants totalling £53,000 were received for the Energy Project which enabled the installation of 3 Phase electricity, solar panels & battery storage, replacement pool water pumps and associated electrical works to help provide renewable and more affordable energy solutions. - £44864 was spent on the Energy Project and the balance will be carried forward to 2024 to be used towards further energy saving works at the pool. ## **COMMITTEE MEMBERS 2023** **----- Start of picture text -----**
