Beaford Vill(Ige Hall
For the year ended 30° September 2024
I have carried out an independent examination of the accounts
of Beaford Village Hall for the year ended 30 September
2024.
My examination of the accounts has been carried using a
"spot check" method rather than full audit inspection. The
examination was designed to .
confirni that proper accounting records have been kept;
check that the accounts agree with the accounting records.
look for possible errors;
check that the accounts have been properly prepared on a
Receipts and Payments basis.
I am required to report any matters arising during my
examination that give me cause for concern.
Much of the income comes from loose cash for which receipts
cannot be given and for which no audit trail can be followed.
The majority of cash payments are backed by receipts. Ideally
it would be preferable to bank the majority of the income and
reimburse any expenditure by Bank Transfer. Petty cash being
used for small value sums. However, subject to this proviso, I
am satisfied that these accounts represent accurately the
financial affairs of the organisation, and that no other matters
have arisen that cause me concern and which need reporting.

on the basis of my experience of book-keeping and as a Bank
Manager over the past 40 years. Any third paty relying on
the Financial Statement should conduct their own examination
of the books of accounts before fonning their own opinion of
their accuracy.
