Chairman's Report 2024- 2025
What a busy year this has been; last year we alluded to a number ol organis*ional changes
from the Stout Association. as a group. we have largely implemented them. From a 8roup
management perspective, we have reformed the trustee 8roup to b.tter rnanage the affairs
of the group and allow the section leaders and their teams to focus Dn providin8 exciting
activities for the young people. The trustee board n¢)w comprises tlie key charity officers
and the lead volunteers lorl8inally GSL51 onty.
The 8roup is in a strong financtal position wtth a level of funds set ide to improve the
building.
All sections are well attended, and meetSngs are well supervlsed wlth volunteer leaders.
Our Headquarters building is our greatest asset. We are looking at liow we should improve
St for future years,
One of the biggest concerns that the trustee board are working on 1> Sk)u8h Councll's
proposal to apply parklne restriditsns tn thp fAr Dark niJt¢ide our Headquarters. We
understsnd the necessity for a change, given the number of cars from airport parkin& but If
the council's proposal is passed, It could potentially mean that lead£.'rs would have to pay
around £50 in parkin8 charges for a typical weekend sleepover at the Headquarters. This
would not be reallstic for people to volunteer and effertively cripplÉ the group. We have
lobbied the council and severdl local councillors and are awaiting th! results of the
consultation
I would like to close thls report by say a big thank you to everyone iiNolved In the group-
we could not survive without your Input- Thank You
