tireless for many hours to maintain and extend

The Recreation Ground Committee has over the
years been successful in securing grant funding
to build the all-weather court, a sports pavilion, a
Children’s Play area and a skateboard park.
During the first lockdown the Recreation Ground
was only open for the community to exercise or
walk around the field but as the restrictions were
reduced the skateboard park was open and then
from July 2020 the Children’s Play area was
opened subject to certain conditions. The play
equipment was sanitised once a week with users
sanitising it when they used it.
The Recreation Ground provided a large open
space which was accessible during those difficult
