2nd BRACKNELL GROUP SCOUT COUNCIL
Annual Report 2025
1. Group Lead Volunteers Review of Scouting in the Group
Special thanks go out to Jason, Sharon, Ian & Colin who have all retired from the group in the past year, their service to the group & has been invaluable over the years.
And we welcome, in no particular order, Claire, Janine, Rachel, Jamie, Silvia & Georgia who have all joined the group, in the beaver section.
As ever we are looking for volunteers for some specific roles.
We need 2 or more volunteers to act as quartermasters to our camping and activity equipment. We would like a building and maintenance manager, not to necessarily to do any work but to manage & coordinate maintenance tasks.
If anyone has any specific knowledge or contacts for vehicle maintenance, we have had the benefit of a vehicle technician to maintain and generally service our minibus and we now need to plan alternative arrangements and would rather not boost Fords profits, we would be pleased to hear from you.
The observant among you will have seen we have a new web site, which has been developed by Symon Dovey, one of our parents. This has been a big project and we are extremely grateful for everyone that has contributed to our refreshed online look.
Our Trustee Board has been busy through out the year and I am pleased to report that we have finally got a solution from our insurers consultants to resolve the subsidence at the hut , at present the work is programmed for the Christmas holidays although the contractor has yet to visit site. So watch this space, there will hopefully be little disruption to our normal activities.
And finally thank you to all the young people that take an active part in the group.
