Chartered Accountants' report to the trustee's on the preparation of the unaudited accounts of Pitstone Memorial Hall for the year ended 30 September 2025
As a practising member firm of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), we are subject to its ethical and other professional requirements which are detailed at http://www.icaew.com/en/membership/regulations-standards-andguidance.
This report is made solely for the trustees of Pitstone Memorial Hall , as a body, in accordance with the terms of our engagement letter dated 05 March 2024. Our work has been undertaken solely to prepare for your approval the accounts of Pitstone Memorial Hall and state those matters that we have agreed to state to the trustees of Pitstone Memorial Hall , as a body, in this report in accordance with ICAEW Technical Release 07/16 AAF. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we do not accept or assume responsibility to anyone other than Pitstone Memorial Hall and its trustees, as a body, for our work or for this report.
It is your duty as trustees to ensure that Pitstone Memorial Hall has kept adequate accounting records and to prepare accounts that give a true and fair view of the assets, liabilities, financial position and profit or loss of Pitstone Memorial Hall with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 ('the Act'). You consider that Pitstone Memorial Hall is exempt from the statutory audit requirement for the year and the need to file statutory accounts and a corporation tax return under the 'unincorporated association' rules.
Our examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the trustees and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records, under section 145 of the 2011 Act . It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeks explanations from the members concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit, and consequently I do not express an audit opinion on the view given by the accounts.
## **Independent examiner’s statement**
In the course of my examination, no matter has come to my attention which gives me reasonable cause to believe that in any material respect the accounts are misleading, and there are no other matters to which your attention should be drawn to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
