||Inthe pastyearthe trustees have instigated
severalimprovements tothehallandthe
playing fields. Updating the heating systemwas||| ||particular, the activities,||||a majorexpenditure and while thenew boilers|| ||projects orservices identified||||worked well ,the 1930’s plumbingwas not|| ||in the accounts.||||capable ofdelivering the required heatto all|| ||||||parts ofthe hall. This resulted in the need to re-|| ||||||pipe all the radiators and fit modern values in|| ||||||the system to controi the heatflowso thatthe|| ||||||system worked correctly. Other major|| ||||||expenditurewas£5000 hall insurance, £4600|| ||||||two fell two trees and clear the land behind the|| ||||||tennis courts £4145 to fit new metal frontdoors|| ||||||which should last20 years. £3432 repairs to the|| ||||||swings in the playground. £3000 fora solicitor|| ||||||todraw up a lease forBon Ami. £2000 to bring|| ||||

|||||the football pitch back togood order. The Artex
onthe kitchen ceilingwasremoved and plaster
andaworkingparty oftrusteespaintedthe
ceiling.Thetrustees havespentaconsiderable
amountofmoneytokeepthehallandplaying
fieldsingoodorder.Hallbookingswhilesteadily
improving are still belowcovid levels. Atthe

withjustover£44000 raised. We have also|| ||||||received a large bequestfrom Mr. Sweetwho|| ||||||lived in the village. The trustees will use this|| ||||||money on continuing improvements to the|| ||||||facilities.|| The committee are losing their longest serving member Norma Clarke, as she moves away to Sussex. Norma has been responsible for | maintenance of the hall and grounds for many years and will be missed. We will seek to find a willing replacement within our community. | would like fo express my thanks to the committee for all the support they have given me during the year and to the fundraising events committee members that have organised these events.
