The Association's aiin has always been to provide first Glass fa¢ilities at affoTdable prices for voluntary
organisations serving ilie IoGal cominunity. Our halls and meeting rooms ar¢ usually fjlled witli the souiid of
Inusi¢. diama, sport, exercise and histoi'ical research
und¢rtaken by groups from PiE-s¢hool age to 'seniors'.
We are also delighted to continu¢ to play host to Headway, a charity helping those who have Suffered brasn

The begiT)ning of the yew saw the start of & new Yolunteer handym￿1, who has V￿rked hai'd over the year
getting mittor rnaintenance issues sorted out. The lighting the May Wooll¢iton Flall and the corridors was
Lepla¢ed, the leaking roof was dealt with. and the tables in the Wye Rooin wei'e revamished. Kathy Jackson,
who had kept the front borders looking colourf￿, stDpped doii)g our gaTdcning. Cai'iiig foi ihe plants was taken
on by Tony Crossmgn Rnd Ti'a¢y GreeI]field, and a cojnpany was cinploy¢d to do the mowing garden
maintenan¢e. An acer was bought at)d plajiied ill Jrjemory tsf Dave Gibson, who passed away at the end of 2023.
The events progrwiyDe continued to grow. A full schedule Df films was shown, with the most popular (One
Lif¢) being showTh tWlLe. Various music ev¢nts were held in the main hall and in the bar, with local names such

The Association sectlODS have continued to make good use of the Centye.. as weil as presenting the pantomime
mention¢d above. Forum Pl&yers raised fi]nds throu￿ a 5uttessfiil quiz in the summer. Short Mat Bowls still
me¢ls twice a week and its membership is growing. Darts finished thii'd in the Winter Leatsue and were
runners-up in thc Chall¢ng¢ Cup. new Inembers h#vtt allowed theii. coj?tiniiatiort in the It￿￿lle. The Chess Club
meets regUl￿.[Y for ￿ate1]eS and ¢a$udl play, and hosts ali Allniial Lhess cOn￿e￿, &ttrauting players from far

ost of tlie Centre. We also hope tv change the layout of the biiilding in ordEr to integrat¢ the Target RDOln
miiGh inor¢ into the iiiaii) part of the buildijig. We are hopincF to access a Parish Council gxat]t foT soin¢ ofthe

We need to attract new members and would encoui?ge all users to become m¢mber& of the Association. We also
aslc e¥isting mttmbers to ¢ncourage friends and neighboEirs to join lis atthe Community CEntre.
There is always a need For volunteers to bccome actively involved in the runn￿ng of the ￿SocIatIon as without a
band of willintt volunteers the Cotnmunicy Centre woiild not exist.
