Finchampstead Park - acquired 25th March 1947
The property called “The Finchampstead Park” shall be held upon trust to permit the same to be used for the purposes of the maintenance and improvement of the physical well-being and mental and training and recreation and social, moral and intellectual development by the provision of facilities for Physical Training and Recreation and through the medium of recreation grounds and playing fields reading and recreation rooms, library and lectures, classes, recreations and entertainments, or otherwise as may be found expedient for the benefit of the inhabitants of the Parish of Finchampstead in the County of Berkshire and its immediate vicinity without distinction of sex ,or of political, religious or other opinions.

The list of organisations entitled to appoint a member of the Management Committee are as follows:-
Cricket Club Football Club Sports Club Netball Brownies Churchyard Trust Finchampstead C of E School Finches Pre-School Mother’s Union Parish Council Parochial Church Council Ringcraft RSPB Women’s Institute + up to 4 Parish Members elected at AGM + Co-opted members
Responsibilities of the Management Committee
The Management Committee as Trustees, are required to prepare financial statements for each financial year which properly present the Charity’s receipts and payments for the financial year and its assets and liabilities at the end of that year. They must also ensure that proper accounting records are maintained.
Activities and Achievements during 2024
Our major improvement for the Hall this year was 5 years EICC manatory update ofHall electricals costing £20.7 which has brought Hall completey up to date with current wiring regulations.
We also embarked on a solar panel installation project under the solar together scheme run by our local author The project will cost £17.8k when the panels are installed next year. The Parish Council have kindly made a gra of 100% of the project cost which they kindly paid in 2024 in advance of the project. We are very grateful to the Council for giving us this grant.

INDEPENDENT EXAMINER’S REPORT TO THE TRUSTEES & MEMBERS OF
THE FINCHAMPSTEAD PARK MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE ON THE ACCOUNTS FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31 DECEMBER 2024
This report is made solely to the members of Finchampstead Park Management Committee, as a body, in accordance with the regulations made under the Charities Act 2011. My examination work has been undertaken so that I might state to the members of Finchampstead Park Management Committee those matters that I am required to state to them in an Independent Examiner’s Report and for no other purposes. To the fullest extent permitted by law, I do not accept or assume responsibility to anyone other than Finchampstead Park Management Committee, as a body, for my examination work and my statement.
Respective responsibilities of trustees and examiner
The charity’s trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts. The charity’s trustees consider that an au not required for this year under section 144(2) of the Charities Act 2011 (the 2011 Act) and that an examination is needed.
It is my responsibility to:

examine the accounts under section 145 of the 2011 Act
-
to follow the procedures laid down in the general Directions given by the commission under section 145(5)(b) of the 2011
-
to state whether particular matters have come to my attention.
Basis of independent examiner’s report
My examination was carried out in accordance with the general Directions given by the Charity Commission. An exa includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with th trustees concerning any such matters.
