The trustees present their report with the financial statements of the charity for the year ended 31 October 2024. The
trusiees have adopted the provisions of Accounting and Reporting by Charilies.. Statement of Recommended Practice
applicable to charilies preparing their accounts.
OWECTIVES AND ACTIVITIES
Objectives and nims
The charity's objectives are 10 maintain and op¢rai¢ a villat4e hall, as a safe meeting place for villaL4ers and local
organisationslgroups where activities take place for physical, recreational and social development.
Piiblic bcncfit
The truslecs have regard lo the Charity Commission's general guidanc¢ on public bcnefil. The trustees always ensure the
activities of the charity are undertaken in line with our charitable objectives ai)d aims.
ACHIEVEMENT AND PERFORMANCE
It, s been a successful year following a troubled start with the organisation. We have made a lot of progress which we
can build on in Ihc cominb ycar.
The coniniiltec lias been resiruclured following the loss of Simon and Peter bul has been added to by several new
nieiiibcrs wlio are n105t welcon)c.
The evenls organised in the hall have provided a strong revenue.
In particular opening Ihc bar afler the polalo race , the Eat Feast event, Ili¢ OAP Christmas lun¢li and the New Year
party have all contributed to our community apprccialion. Such events help to mAke our villages whAt they are. Thanks
lo Carl for carryinbl the orgianisation ofthc5c cvenl5.
Our rcgular hirers hAVC conlinucd lo use the hall and this together wilh thc occasional hircrs has been very well co-
ordinalcd by Margarei's booking syslem.
We liave withstood the challenges brou¥ht about by th¢ floodins and the insurance company came to the rescue ,
allowing us the replace 11)c floor and improvc tlic surfacc drainagc at Ihc rcar of Ilic bui Idin¥. In addilion, we have
iniprovcd Ilie acccss arranycmcnts lo Ihc sound syslcm, replaced many of Il)e labl¢s and chairs. Th¢ air condilioniny

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above charity (the Trust) for the year ended
31 October 2024.
Responsibillties and basis of report
As the charity trustees of the Trust you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the
requirements of the Charities Act 2011 ('the Acl,).
I report in respect of my examination of the Trust's accounts carried out under section 145 of the Act and in carrying out
my examination I have followed all applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5Xb) of
