WWA has two support teams.. aceommodatlon-based sermces and communlty-based servlces.
Accommodation based servtces provide refuge and supwrt lor women, ¢hildRn and young people
liwng in the reluge. Communty services provide support lor women. chiklr8n arKI young people living
in the community. WWA has three principal actiwtles: reluge serv¢ces, chitdren arKI young peo*'s
seNiees and communSty services. A significant, posi1Sve and often 'lile saving, thtterence is made for
many people as a result of the supwrt given by WWA. Women, chitdren and young people's
conltdence and sell-worth are helghlened, and they become emotionally stronger and more able to
form slrong and healthy boundaries in ILrture relattonships as well as becoming active ar#J positive
members ol the communty.

thildren who are experiencing domestic violence and need to leave their homes. The service incl￿19S
sell-calering r8luge accommodation, provision of emotional and practical supFort for women and
c*iklren b8lore, during and after their slay al the rèfuge, accompanying to court arK4 apptyntmenls.

This support is wide ranging and may, for example, [r￿l￿de support wlh houslng, finances, parentlng,
mental health needs and substance misuse. Refuge guests are encouraged to attend a weekly house

and her counselor will re.assess together how things are and the progress that has been made. If il is
