REPORT OF THE TRUSTEES FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31st MARCH 2022

The Trustees present their annual report and accounts for the year ended 31st March 2023.

The board of the trustees are satisfied with the peformance of the charity during the year and the position as that 31st March 2023. They consider that the charity is in a strong position to continue the activites during the coming year and that the chairty's asset are adequate to fulfil its obligations.

Objectives and Activites of the Charity

According to the Constitution & Article of Faith of the Charity, the principal activites of the Church is furtherance of the Christian religion and assisting other church missions and holding religious meetings for the community by bringing hope to lost souls through one Lord, one Faith and one Baptism

Mission Gift

During the year, the mission gift to other churches amounted to £0.00 (2021: £0.00). Other charitable donations of £180.00 (2022: £250.00) were made in year to other charitable organisation in disaster stricken areas amongst others.

Church Building

The Board of Trustees continue to seek a larger property with a hall to house the growing church congregation hence the accumulation of funds towards the purchase. The Board of Trustees have found a suitable property adjoining the current church building and are still in negotiations with regards to its purchase. Owing to complications and conditions posed by the seller, the Church is having to raise significant funds through donation specific to the purchase and are thus retaining significant funds in their deposit accounts.

Charity law requires the board to prepare accounts for each financial year which gives a true and fair view of the state of affairs of the company and of the surplusor deficit for that period. In preparing those accounts, the board is required to:

The trustees are responsible for maintaining proper accounting records which disclose with reasonalbe accuracy at any time the financial position of the charity. The trustees are also responsible for safeguarding the assets of the company hence for taking reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of fraud and other irregularities.

Independent Examiners' Report to the Board of Trustees on the unaudited accounts of Zion Church of Church (Apostolic)

Respective responsibilities of trustees and examiner

The charity's trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts. The charity's trustees consider that an audit is not required for this year under Section 144 of the Charities Act 2011 and that an independent examination is needed.

It's our responsibility to:

examine the account under Section 145 of the Charities Act

To follow procedure laid down in the general Directions given by the Charuty Commision (under Section 145(5)(b) of the Charities Act, and

To state whether particular matters have come to my attention

Basis of independent examiner's statement

Our examination was carried out in accordance with general Directions given by the Charity Commission. An examination include a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and the comparison of the accounts is presented with the records. It also includes consideration

of any unsual item or disclosures of the account, and seeking explanations from the trustees concerning any such matter. The procedures undertaken doesn't provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit, and consequently no opinion is given as to whether the account present is 'true and fair' view and the report is limited to those matters set out in the statement below.

Independent Examiners' Statement

In connection with our examination, no material matter have come to our attention which gives us cause to believe that in , any materials respect:

the accounting were not kept in accordance with Section 130 of the Charities Act; or

We have come across no matters in connection with the examinations to which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.

1 Accounting basis
