development in Swlndon & the
surroundin
district.
An Open Day was held on 02 September
2023, with 61 groups represented in
person. tt was well attended.
Throughout the year approximately 130
different groups operated.
Separate events were held for New
Members & for Volunteers (new &
existing).
The AGM took place on 13 November
2023. A Resolutlon was passed for one
small Chan￿ to the Constitution.
A further Open Day was held on 31st
August 2024. with 80 groups
represerrted in person. It was also well
attended.
The Trustees have complled with their
duty to have due regard to the Charity
Commission's Public Benefit guidance
when exercising any powers or duties to
which guidance Is relevant

We have come through a period of
change tn the financial model & rr
system, along with some Trustee
changes. We have used this year to
consolidate & stabilise. This has been
successful and we continue to thrive &
grow.

Regular monthly meetings were held,
with a variety of interesting talks & a
chance for members to meet up socially.
Both Summer & Christmas parties were
well attended.
The Travel gTOUPS and Concertgoers
arranged & organised their trips.
A Volunteers meeting was held in
October 23 for existing volunteels and
members who were interested in finding
oui about becoming a voluntsor.
A New Members meeting was held in
November 23. This gave new members a
chance to see what Swindon u3a as a
whole was about and how they could
make the most of their membership.

group venue payment fees pre-collected

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above charity (“the Trust”) for the period ended 31/08/2024. 

- **Responsibilities and** As the charity trustees of the Trust, you are responsible for the preparation **basis of report** of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”). 

I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.
