Trustees Annual Repon 2023-2024
Regular meetings have continued to be held in member's homes. with occasional ones held online.
via Zoom, when no suitable home was available. The Zijom vneetings, when required, are provided
by one of the membe￿.
The church celebrated 40 annivew during the year and the whole church went away together
to the High Leigh Conference Centre for a weekend to celebraie and spend ume together in
fellowship and looking both back over the 40 Yea￿ and iowards what the future may hold. Fornier
members who have moved away were invited back and one of those provided the music for the
worship sessions. Spouses of members who were noi ihemselves members also joined us and some
of those joined in fully in the meetings.
The church received a significani financial legacy from a recenily deceased member and a small
portion of this was used io subsidise the celebrauon weekend conference.
Regular breakfast meetings for the men and ladies have continued to be held. in member's homes or
local publresraurants. A joini breakfasi meeung was held in a local hoiel prior to Chrisunas.
One couple are heavily involved in ministering io other groups in the USA and Switterland and
have travelled regularly to meet with those groups in person.
One lady regularly leads "Praciising Joy" serninars to gmups around the country in order to build
them up.
Church members have been involved in many activities and owisauons across the iown.
Three members are involved in the Healing on the S￿eets Minis￿ which offers prayer for healing
and any other issues in the town centre on a Saturday.
A number of membets are involved with the lown centre Chaplaincy and regularly visi(ing people
in their workplaces, such as the law courts, iown hall and the Asda supem]arket. Two ladies who
previously joined us as a result of the chaplaincy work in Asda have mainiained their association
with us, either fully or as pan of the monthly ladies breakfasts.
One member is involved with many of the other churches in the town and has chaired Churches
Together in Luton for several yeats now. He retired from that posiuon during the year, but has
remained as vice-chairnian to support his successor and also continue meeting with the leaders of
other churches.
Suppon has been given io members who have suffered the loss of fatnily members and who have
had health issues.

COMMUNITY CHURCH LUTON TRUST
I report to the trustees on my examination of the account5 of Coinmunity Church Luton
Trust for the year ended 31 Maruh 2024. which are set out on page5 5 to 7.
Responsibilities and basis of report
As the charity's truste¢s you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in
accordance with the requireinents of the Charities A¢t 2011 ('the Act,).
I report in respect of my extunination of theTrust's accounts carried out under section 145
of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed the Direction5 given
by the Charity Coinmission under section 145(5) (b) of the Act.
Independent examiner's statement
I have completed Iny examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my
attention in coiinection with the examination which give me cause to believe that in, any
material respect..
accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 130 of the Act. or
the accounts do not accord with the accounting records. or
the accounts do not comply with the applicable requiremei)ts concerning the forn]
and content of accounts set out in the Charities (Accounts ajid Reports)
Regulations 2008 other than any requirement that the accounts give a true and fair
