1. Introduction
The Weydon School Trust Fund (WSTF) operates in accordance with its Governing Document dated 11[th] February 2021.
2. Objectives and Trustees
WSTF exists for the purpose of advancing education of the students of Weydon Multi Academy Trust (WMAT) by providing and assisting in the provision of facilities for the education of students at the schools that would not normally be provided.
There are five Trustees including the Weydon Principal, a governor of Weydon School at the time of their appointment and a parent of a current child at the school, and two others who should be a parent, a governor or someone who has relevant, specialist knowledge. New trustees, who will be drawn from the school or local community, are nominated by one of the existing trustees and appointed by a vote of the remaining trustees.
3. Principal Activity
The principal activity of the charity is to receive funding from Weydon Extended School Services (WESS), a private company, as well as donations from parents and others and, following requests from headteachers and principals, to approve disbursements to WMAT schools. The charity employs no staff and no running or support costs are incurred.
In carrying out its activities the trustees consider that they have complied with the duty to have due regard to the Charity Commission’s public benefit guidance.
4. Review of Achievements and Results in 2024-25
The charity received a donation from WESS of £259,778 (2023-24 £237,211) and donations and other income of £75,644 (2023-24 £22,551).
In approving requests for funding, the charity made payments to WMAT schools of £371,222 (2023-24 £8,529).
The net decrease in funds for the year was £35,800 (2023-24 increase £251,135)
5. Reserves
The Trustees’ policy is to ensure that individual school reserves are at least sufficient to replace their all-weather pitches by a minimum of 7 years from the pitch commissioning date. Otherwise, reserves are retained until such time as funding is requested by WMAT schools for purposes in accordance with the charity’s objectives.
With considerable funding requests from schools in the year, as at 31[st] August 2025 the charity’s reserves, which are all unrestricted in nature, were £992,962 (£1,028,762 as at 31[st] August 2024).

2.1 Recognition of income
----- End of picture text -----
These are Included in the Statement of Financial Activities when:
-
, the charity becomes entitled to the resources:
-
It is more likely than not that the trustees will receive the resources; and
-
the monetary value can be measured with sufficient reliability. 2.2 Offsetting There has been no offsetting of assets and llabllities, or income and expenses, unless required or permitted by the FRS 102 SORP or FRS 102. 2.3 Tax reclaims on donations and gifts Gif Aid receivable is included In income when there Is a valid declaration from the donor. Any Gift Aid amount recovered on a donation is considered to be part of that gift and Is treated as an addition to the same fund as the initial donation unless the donor or the terms of the appeal have specified otherwise.
2.4 Liability recognition Expenditure, which Is recorded on an accruals basis, Is recognised once there is an obligation to make a payment to a third party and that amount can be measured reliably. All expenditure is on charitable activities so there is no apportionment of support costs between activities.
2.5 Current asset investments Investments represent cash deposited on fixed terms with a maturity of greater than three months, which is held for investment purposes rather than to meet short term cash commitments as they fall due.
2.6 Debtors and creditors
Debdtors and creditors receivable or payable within one year are recorded at settiement amount. Any losses arising from impairment of debtors are recognised In expenditure.
2.7 Basic financial instruments
The charity only has financial assets and financial llabilities of a kind that qualify as basic financial instruments. Basic financial instruments are initially recognised at transaction value and subsequently measured at their settlement value.

I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination which gives me cause to believe that in, any material respect:
-
the accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 130 of the Charities Act; or
-
the accounts did not accord with the accounting records; or
-
the accounts did not comply with the applicable requirements concerning the form and content of accounts set out in the Charities (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008 other than any requirement that the accounts give a ‘true and fair’ view which is not a matter considered as part of an independent examination.
I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
