Governance and Management The Trust is a registered charity number 298197, governed by a Trust deed dated 25 November 1987 and amended on l May 2011. The Trust was established with funds previously comprised in the Estate of Mrs Kathleen Martin who died on 30 November 1985 and provides that the Trustees shall pay or apply the income and capital of the Trust Fund for the benefit of any one or more of the charity's objects. Respertive responslbilltles and basis of report As the charity's trustees of the trust you are responsible for the preparation of the account5 in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 20111'the Act'l. I report in respect of my examination of the Trust's accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 14515llbl of the Act. Accounting and Reporting by Charities preparing their accounts i accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland IFRS1021 and the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland IFRS1021 and the Charities Act 2011 and UK Generally Accepted Practice. Funds structure Unrestricted income and capital funds comprise those funds which the Trustees are free to use for any purpose in furtherance of the charitable objects of the Trust. Incoming resource5 All incoming resources are included in the Statement of Financial Activities when the charity is legally entitled to the income after any performance conditions have been met, the amount can be measured reliably and it is probably the income will be received. For legacies, entitlement is taken as the earlier of the date on which either.. the Charity is aware that probate has been granted, the estate has been finalised and notification has been made by the executorlsl to the Trust that a distribution will be made, or when a distribution is received from the estate. Receipt of a legacy, in whole or in part, is only considered probable when the amount can be measured reliably and the Charity has been notified of the executor's intention to make a distribution. Where legacies have been notified to the Charity, or the Charity Is aware of the granting of probate, and the criteria for income recognition have not been met, then the legacy is treated as a contingent asset and disclosed if material.
