**Objects:** PROMOTION AND ADVANCEMENT OF THE CHRISTIAN RELIGION IN ACCORDANCE WITH ANGLICAN PRINCIPLES AND PRACTICES WITH PARTICULAR EMPHASIS ON THE GROWTH OF UNITY BETWEEN ALL THE CHURCHES AND ON THE RENEWAL OF THE LIFE AND ORGANISATION OF THE CHURCH OF ENGLAND IN ORDER TO FACILITATE AND STRENGTHEN THE MISSION OF THE CHRISTIAN CHURCH TO THE PEOPLE OF ENGLAND.

**Activities:** The Open Synod Group is a group of present and former members of The General Synod of the Church of England that promotes unity amongst all Christians.  It meets when the General Synod meets affirms its hope in the future, living out our faith in a positive spirit which is both liberal and critical.
