## Treasurer’s Annual Report – Year ended 30th September 2024 

## Aim of PTA 

To advance the education of the pupils of the school by providing and assisting in the provision  of  facilities  and  resources  not  normally  funded  by  the  Department  for Education. 

## Activities this year 

2024  /  2025  proved  to  be  another  busy  and  prosperous  year  for  the  Friends  of Waldegrave. Fundraising activities included a bingo night, quiz night, Christmas tree sale, 2nd hand uniform sale and school summer and winter music concerts along with a direct appeal for the new school minibus. A total of £11,843 was raised across these events. Direct giving remains a core revenue stream. £15,588 was donated to the school, predominantly through ParentPay and Kindlink. Friends of Waldegrave retained 8% (£1247) of all funds donated to the school. A further £2110 was given in direct donations, including £150 from the filming of Geek Girl. 

A total of £53,843 was given to the school from fundraising activities conducted during the  current  and  previous  years.  Friends  of  Waldegrave  funded  the  new  minibus (£33,933), a welcome replacement for the old bus. £16,650 was given directly to the school through the Kindlink agreement and a further £1600 funded the exam revision seminar provided by Michele Miller. £3,781 was credited back to the account for uncashed cheques that are more than 3 years old and for which it has not been possible to contact the original recipient. 

The purchase of the new school minibus provided an opportunity to spend surplus funds raised during the previous years. Expenditure exceeded income by £24,540, bringing the retained earning at the end of the year to £18, 687. 

The Friends of Waldegrave would like to thank Irena Clarke for reviewing the accounts and the continued support from all volunteers for making 24/25 another successful year.
