## **Treasurer’s Annual Report – Year ended 30th September 2024** 

## **Aim of PTA** 

To advance the education of the pupils of the school by providing, and assisting in the provision  of  facilities  and  resources  not  normally  funded  by  the  Department  for Education. 

## **Activities this year** 

There was a busy schedule of fundraising activities across the 2023 / 2024 year. Fundraising activities included a bingo night, school play, quiz night, Christmas tree sale, 2nd hand uniform sale and school summer and winter music concerts. A total of £7877 was raised across these events. Direct giving remains a core revenue stream. £19,688 was donated to the school, predominantly through ParentPay and Kindlink. Donations made through Kindlink increased 33% from the previous year, reflecting the additional focus and communication made by the school. The PTA retained 8% (£1515) with £17,432 paid to the school from donations made across the year. 

£2500 of the raised funds was given in support of the 5 student committees that form the student parliament to spend as each committee feels fit. The Friends of Waldegrave are  awaiting  to  hear  how  each  committee  has  spent  the  £500.  The  Friends  of Waldegrave also provided Pizza for the class with the highest attendance. 

With little request for funding, 2024 saw earnings for the year of £21,597, bringing retained earnings at year end to £39,447. Friends of Waldegrave continue to request school projects to fund that enrich school life. The Friends would like to thank Irena Clarke for reviewing the accounts and the continued support from all volunteers for making 23/24 another successful year.
