## **Aim of PTA** 

To advance the education of the pupils of the school by providing, and assisting in the provision of facilities and resources not normally funded by the Department for Education. 

## **Activities this year** 

Due to COVID 19 pandemic some events did not take place 

The parents’ contribution reduced from £18,142 donated to the school last financial year to £16,713 this year. The PTA retains 8%[2] (£1 257) with the bulk of the donations settled (£15 456) settled directly to the school to be used for any purpose. The retained 8% with Gift Aid claimed on the school fund donations (£1 105) and money raised from events are then spent on the school. 

The ever-popular events as Bingo Night and Quiz nights, The Christmas Trees sales and Christmas Charity raffle are now a fixed calendar event raising substantial amount of £8,846. 

## **Funds Usage items for school Total £ 31,298 (largest contribution with £20,000 for the refurbishment of toilets)** 

End of year results a loss of £16,685 (because we spent more then raised and used fund from saving account) 

The PTA would like to thank Mr Isted in the liaison work he has provided to the PTA in ensuring that the funds provided by the PTA is used in the most efficient manner for the school. Lastly to all the PTA members who have contributed to another challenging year and to Mr Heading for reviewing the accounts.

2 The 8% is based on donations to the PTA received in 2019 via Parent Pay. PTA agreed with the school that we retain a percentage of school donations rather than have separate donations in Parent Pay following feedback from parents.

Accounts for the year ended 30 September 2022
I have reviewed the accounts of Waldegrave School PTA for the year ended 30 September
2022 and I consider that they represent a true and fair reflection of the financial position of
