**Objects:** TO PROMOTE AND ASSIST IN THE ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION IN THE ARTS AND CRAFTS INCLUDING THE ARTS OF MUSIC, DRAMA, DANCING, MIME, PAINTING, SCULPTURE AND THE GRAPHIC ARTS AND LITERATURE AND POETRY, AND TO EXTEND AND INCREASE THE APPRECIATION, KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING OF THE ARTS AND CRAFTS IN ALL THEIR FORMS.

**Activities:** The charity's principal object is the arranging and staging of the Thaxted Festival.  To promote and assist in the advancement of education in the Arts and Crafts including the arts of music and drama.  To extend and increase the appreciation, knowledge and understanding of the arts and crafts in all their forms.
