## **Trustees of St Gregory’s (Ealing) Parent’s Teachers Association Annual Report for Year Ending 31 August 2022**

## **1. Introduction**

In this Financial Year, there was a new PTA Committeeelected. Fresh faces and new ideas implemented increased the income raised during the year compared to the last two years. The impact of the COVID 19 Pandemic was still evident as some events needed to be scaled down from pre-pandemic levels. Despite this, the PTA was still able to make many donations to St Gregory’s School and increasing its bank balance considerably.

## **2. Events**

Events generated a profit of £14,711 for the year, representing a significant increase on previous year. Events including the Christmas Bonanza, Children’s School Disco, and the Summer Fete were reinstated as volunteers were permitted on the school’s premises. Some smaller initiatives were also run. Profit for the larger events were as follows:

- Christmas Raffle £1,919

- Christmas Bonanza £1,535

- Children’s Disco £1,567

- Summer Raffle £1,165

- Summer Fete £5,068

- Cake sales £1,147

The remainder of the profit is made up of smaller initiatives such as the Valentine’s Day sale, Sunflower sales, Wreath Night and the Christmas Card Fundraiser.

## **3. Donations**

The PTA donated a total of £9,058 to the school this year. There are no commitments to fund approved spending requests in the new financial year (FY2023).

1

Despite the small decrease in donations to the school, we were incredibly pleased to be able to uphold the tradition of funding the entertainment for the Christmas parties for all year groups, Year 6 leaver’s party and funding provided for Bibles and Crosses for all school leavers.

The PTA also supported the school’s Hardship Fund and introduced a new gardening club, teaching children about biodiversity and looking after our planet.

The donation of funds has benefitted children across all year groups and covered as many areas of school life as possible.

Funds of £18,638 are being carried forward to the new financial year (September 22 to August 23).

## **4. General**

The Honourable Chair Chantain Perez (previously Thomas), and 2 Co-Secretaries Maxina Studnik and Despiona Garcia, and Treasurer Aoife Fryatt stood down at the AGM on 3[rd] November 2021.
