**Objects:** (I) TO PROMOTE THE ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION BY DEVELOPING PUBLIC INTEREST IN ALL ASPECTS OF THE HISTORY OF THE TOWN OF FOLKESTONE AND THE SURROUNDING DISTRICT. (II) TO PROMOTE AND ORGANISE CO-OPERATION IN THE ADVANCEMENT OF THE ABOVE PURPOSE AND TO THAT END TO BRING TOGETHER REPRESENTATIONS OF THE STATUTORY AUTHORITIES AND VOLUNTARY ORGANIZATIONS ENGAGED IN THE FURTHERANCE OF THE ABOVE PURPOSE WITHIN THE AREA OF BENEFIT. (III) TO ARRANGE OUTINGS, LECTURES AND OTHER ACTIVITIES TO FOSTER INTEREST IN THE HISTORY OF FOLKESTONE.

**Activities:** Generate and enhance public interest in all aspects of the history of Folkestone and surrounding district.Arrange a series of talks throughout the year,together with exhibitions and outings,by producing for sale other publications that help to provide background for local history research.Supports other local organisations who seek to promote the history of Folkestone and surrounding district.
