The Friend5 undertake a variety of activities, which inclvde fundraising but olso octing as ambassadors for our school, supporting coffee mornings for prospective porents. helping with trip5. meeting and looking afler visitors to the school. All parentslcorers are invited to join the Friends ond the group tries lo be as reflective of Ihe school community a5 possible. ensuring understanding of need and how the Friends can best help both the pvpils and school community. The school is very appreciative of all the voluntary hard work undertaken bythe Friends, ond in particular, value the Chairs. who give of Iheir time tirelessly to make a positive difference to our children and families. The Friends group ore relavnched annually inseptember and then meel monlhlythroughout the year. Some members are only able to meet Virtual owing to their personal commitments. but their voice is captured and helps lo inform direction. In Ihe run up to the events, the Friends support in multiple ways from practical preporation in school. to baking cakes. sourcing prizes and grfts, collating resources to sell. designing and making activities. Their efforts really paid off and we had the most successful Summer Fair and Grond Raffle to date in June and July 2022. During COVID we were unable to run our normal activities, 50 this reporting period wos the first year that we were able lo open Ihe school ogain. The Friends worked in porlnership with the school staff. families ond wider community to rvn thew fvlo moin fundraising activities. staff and the Friend5 also valued donations received from schod fvnthoising activilies which included the poid Rugby parking scheme for Glovcester Rugby Matches. as well os a significant personol contribution from a pasl pupil. and the successful application of o grant to meet identified need. The omounts raised were as follows: Friends Fundraising Fair & Roffle - £7.068.00 Rugby Car Parking Season fickels - £8,134.
