Achievements and Performance SORP relerenc* South Moreton Preschool has had another good yèar and has continued to provide excellent care and education for children befor• they start school. Summary of the main achievements of the chartty, identifying the drfferen the charity's work has made to the circumstances of its beneficiaries and any wider benefits to society as whole. Para 1.20 All the staff are involved In continuous professional development to ensure a high quality of care and aducation within the preschool. The preschool had a healthy management committee and there is good Cowoperation between the stsff and the commlttee. In Jun• we had a full Ofsted Inspection and wo achieved a good gradè that we are very proud of. A good relationship has been nurtured with parents especially with parents Involved with fundraising. Fundraising has bgèn a succèss this year with us being able to hold our annual Nativity, Bikeathon which also included a small fete and our summer concert and leavers Ceremony. Both the Nativlty and summer concert were held in the local church. A small donation was glven to the church and we also raised money for Crackerjacks Childrens charity wlth a dress up day in the preschool. We also managed to come second in the Tesco Coin scheme and were able to purchase a shop for the gardon for th¢ hildren to enjoy.
Good relations with the local community hav8 been maintained and we Gelebrated various days throughout the year includlng pancake day, St Davids day. World Book day, Earth day, International days, Diwali and were able to provide dance lessons for the children which were greatly enjoyed. Para 1.22 General Reser¥e- The purpose of the organisation is to provide preschool learning to children. Funding comes from the Local Authority in the forni of the Early Years Single Fundlng Forniula Grant and fees from non-funded attendees. Changes in Government Policy ¢an signifiuntly influence the level of fees and grants the preschool receives. The primary expense incurred by the organisatlon is staff salaries. The level of EYSFF and fees income can vary according to the number of attendees In any one terni. but a reduction in attendees does not necessarily result in an equivalent reductlon in staffing or other costs. Amount of reserves held Para 1.22 As a result of the above, the trustees feel it is prudent to maintain a general reserve to secure the continued operation of the organisation should there be a material reduction in fees, or other unforeseen expenditure in future periods.
