The Rowland Trust

18 January 2023

Annual Report for 2022

During the year a legacy was left to Sidmouth Parish Church by Sue Gardiner in the sum of £30,000. It was agreed with the Parochial Church Council and the solicitors acting that, as the intention was to give this through The Rowland Trust, that it should come to the Trust in the first place but be granted to the PCC for repair and maintenance bills.

£30,000 was, therefore, passed to the PCC for this purpose together with further grants of £8,571 for regular repair and maintenance bills.

Another bequest of £100 was received from Barbara Hamer.

The Investment Fund with COIF had volatility but finished the year on a stronger note at £141,935. At the time of writing the Investment Fund stood at £145,986.

We expect two further bequests, but sums unknown at this stage. We also expect that help for grants to the PCC for routine repairs and maintenance will continue which is consistent with the Trust’s aims and objectives.

An AGM will be called after the examination of accounts has been finalised.

With grateful thanks to all our trustees for their support and guidance.
