**Objects:** THE ADVANCEMENT OF THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC AND OF THE WOMEN OF JAPANESE OR EX-JAPANESE NATIONALITY RESIDING IN GREAT BRITAIN BY PROMOTING THEIR UNDERSTANDING OF BRITISH CULTURE AND CUSTOMS AND THEIR KNOWLEDGE OF LIFE IN GREAT BRITAIN INCLUDING BY ARRANGING FOR AND PROVIDING FOR OR BY JOINING IN ARRANGING AND PROVIDING FOR THE HOLDING OF EXHIBITIONS, MEETINGS, LECTURES AND CLASSES AND BY THE PUBLICATION OF REPORTS, PERIODICALS, PAMPHLETS AND NEWSLETTERS.

**Activities:** The committee organises lectures on the history of England and Japan, paintings and music of both countries, talks on current affairs, outings to visit historical buildings and churches. The Association keeps close touch with other women's associations. It is the trustees policy not to respond to unsolicited requests from individuals for assistance and only to make donations to registered charitie
