The children have access to a<br>range of daily activities, indoors and<br>outdoors.  There are structured activities<br>within the day as well as opportunities for<br>the children to select their own activities<br>from the range on offer.  The preschool<br>aims to provide quality, individualised child<br>care meeting the standards set by Ofsted<br>and within statutory guidelines for the Early<br>Years Foundation Stage.  The pre-school<br>has close links with the village primary<br>school as well as taking part in co-<br>operative fundraising events with other<br>charities within the community.  The charity<br>works hard to ensure that young families<br>feel part of the pre-school and also to<br>strengthen bonds with the wider<br>community. Family members and other|

We finished the year at full<br>capacity with a waiting list for places.<br>The charity continued its efforts to provide<br>high quality childcare as well as involving<br>the family within the community.<br>There were many activities including the<br>nativity and a family fun day/ graduation<br>involving the children’s families.<br>The preschool participated in local<br>community events such as the village<br>scarecrow competition and the ‘Beenham<br>in Bloom’ competition.<br>We have a Makaton Sign Language<br>Curriculum which all children have access<br>to and remain the only mainstream early<br>years setting in Berkshire to have Makaton<br>accreditation.  We are also taking part in a<br>number of innovations such as the Early<br>Years ELSA programme and the social<br>communication project"Through My Eyes".|
